At noon on August 31, Mr. Cao Ky Vi, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Kim 2 commune ( Ha Tinh province), said that the rain had stopped and the area was dry, and the water had receded from some roads and bridges that had been flooded earlier.
After the floodwaters receded, local authorities and residents quickly cleaned up the mud and debris, ensuring smooth and safe traffic flow.

Following the floods, some areas of industrial tea plantations belonging to local people in Duong Dau, Duong Cua, and Duong Giang (Tien Phong village), near the Ngan Pho River, were affected by landslides, and many tea plants were swept away.

In addition, about 20 hectares of industrial tea plants are also covered with moss, debris, and mud, posing a risk of reducing yield and production at the end of the harvest season.

On some inter-village and inter-commune roads, erosion and surface peeling have occurred. In particular, on the main commune road, the section from Truc Vac Bridge to Dai Kim Bridge (Quyet Thang village, Son Kim 2 commune), approximately 20-30 cubic meters of soil, rocks, and trees from the high hillside have slid down onto the road.

At noon the same day, Mr. Phan Tien Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Tien commune (Ha Tinh province), said that the rain had stopped in the area, the water level had basically stabilized and was predicted to recede.
Currently, no households in the locality have been affected by flooding, but some inter-village roads in low-lying areas are still submerged. The deepest flooded sections are approximately 40-50cm deep, causing difficulties in travel and posing potential safety risks.

In response to this situation, the local authorities directed relevant forces and villages to implement measures to ensure the safety of residents, especially in vulnerable areas.
Currently, in Son Tien commune, approximately 151 hectares of summer-autumn rice crops belonging to local residents are flooded, posing a high risk of severe damage.

According to Pham Ngoc Tao, Chairman of the People's Committee of Mai Hoa commune (Ha Tinh province), some areas in the commune have experienced landslides on the hillsides, causing a quantity of soil and rocks to spill into the gardens and livestock pens of local residents, but without affecting people or houses.
Some sections of the road along the hillside have been affected by landslides, with soil and rocks spilling onto the road and obstructing traffic.
