Salah will leave Liverpool after the 2025/26 season ends. |
Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool after nine years, bringing to an end one of his most memorable journeys at Anfield. His £400,000-a-week contract will expire this summer, just one year after being extended.
Against this backdrop, the Egyptian striker's future quickly became a focal point. Egypt's national team director, Ibrahim Hassan, revealed that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have submitted offers to sign Salah for next season. Additionally, several Italian clubs are also reportedly interested in the 33-year-old.
“I want him to stay in Europe,” Hassan told ON Sport. “I’ve heard about offers from PSG, Bayern Munich and Italian teams.”
He also doesn't support the possibility of Salah moving to the US to play. According to Hassan, leaving Europe could diminish the star's appeal and lead to less attention.

Salah's future remains uncertain. |
Salah's future remains uncertain. His agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, confirmed that no final decision has been made regarding his client's next destination.
"We don't know which team Salah will play for next season," he said. "That also means nobody else knows."
Earlier, Salah announced his departure from Liverpool with an emotional video . He also missed the most recent Egyptian national team training camp due to injury, when the team played against Saudi Arabia and were preparing to face Spain.
Besides options in Europe, Salah has also received a major offer from Saudi Arabia. In 2023, Al-Ittihad made a verbal offer of £150 million to Liverpool and is still monitoring the situation to find a replacement for Karim Benzema, who left the team in January.
However, Salah's potential move to the Middle East or the United States remains open. These options depend on the personal decision of the striker born in 1992.
Meanwhile, former manager Jurgen Klopp paid tribute to his former pupil. The two spent most of Salah's career at Liverpool and won many major titles together.
“I know he’s only truly happy when he scores and wins,” Klopp shared. “Hopefully, by the end of the season, everyone will be smiling because they’ve been a part of a special career.”
The German manager also praised Salah's achievements for Liverpool. According to him, the striker's statistics and performances are unlikely to be replicated in the future.
