Germany has reason to be optimistic as "Die Mannschaft," under coach Julian Nagelsmann, currently possesses one of the deepest attacking squads in many years. Star striker Kai Havertz believes that competition in the attacking line is not a pressure but an advantage for Germany on their journey to reclaim their glory at the biggest football event on the planet.

Kai Havertz is the German striker who has scored in two Champions League finals.
Speaking at the first online press conference since the German national team arrived in the US, Kai Havertz emphasized that coach Julian Nagelsmann having many quality options in attack is a welcome development. "We have a lot of attacking options, which is a positive thing. Obviously, it's better to have many good players than too few," the Arsenal striker shared.

Deniz Undav (26) and Lennart Karl
Coach Nagelsmann currently has a host of high-performing attacking stars at his disposal, such as Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane, Nick Woltemade, Deniz Undav, Lennart Karl, Felix Nmecha, and Kai Havertz himself. The versatility of many players also allows the German national team to flexibly change its tactical system depending on the opponent.
In last weekend's 4-0 friendly win against Finland, Wirtz, Musiala, Karl, and Undav were all given a chance to start. Havertz, however, was absent due to his participation in Arsenal's Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

One of the most impressive names recently has been Deniz Undav. The striker scored a brace and provided an assist in the victory against Finland, thereby increasing the pressure on the competition for a starting spot.
However, Havertz insisted that the German players do not see each other as rivals in the race for a starting position. "Undavi's statistics speak for themselves. He is a very important part of the national team. No one should be afraid or intimidated by anyone. The most important thing is that the whole team operates as a collective and all players will have their roles," Havertz emphasized.

Felix Nmecha (13)
Germany will play their final friendly match against the host nation, the USA, before the 2026 World Cup. In Group E , the four-time world champions will face Curacao, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador.
Following consecutive failures in the last two World Cups, German fans are hoping that the talented generation led by Nagelsmann will help "Die Mannschaft" regain its position as a top contender for the world championship.
