The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just signed a decision classifying caves C3-C4, part of the Krông Nô volcanic cave system, as a national historical site.
According to the decision, the protected area for the historical site will be specifically defined on a map and accompanied by legal documentation.
Local People's Committees at all levels are responsible for organizing the management, protection, and promotion of the value of historical relics in accordance with the law on cultural heritage.
The Krông Nô volcanic cave system is considered one of the longest and most unique volcanic cave systems in Southeast Asia, with outstanding value in geology , environment, and ecotourism.

Earlier in 2014, scientists discovered the Krông Nô volcanic cave.
These are underground volcanic caves, also known as lava tubes. The origin and formation mechanisms of these caves are closely linked to volcanic activity in the region.
What's remarkable is that the interior of this cave system remains relatively intact to this day. During the survey and research of the cave system, scientists discovered traces of prehistoric tribal settlements dating back approximately 6,000-7,000 years.
