According to new data from Kaspersky, over 117 million clicks on phishing links (online scams that impersonate websites, emails, or familiar services to trick users into providing their information) were detected and blocked in the Asia- Pacific (APAC) region in 2025.
Analysis shows that 88.5% of phishing attacks target online account login information, 9.5% focus on personal data such as names, addresses, and dates of birth, and 2% directly target bank card information. After being stolen, this data is not processed manually but is fed into specialized automated systems, allowing criminals to manage and process massive amounts of data. Attackers often assemble the stolen data into "dumps"—large batches of verified data. On dark web forums, these batches are often offered for sale in bulk at prices of $50 or less. Higher-value accounts fetch much higher prices; for example, an average of $105 for cryptocurrency accounts, around $350 for bank accounts, around $82.50 for e -government portals, and around $15 for personal documents (ID cards, passports, etc.).
