(PLVN) - The 2024 Korean Culture Day in Da Lat will take place on December 13th at Lam Vien Square (Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province) with many attractive programs such as kimchi making, wearing hanbok, making handmade Korean kites, a music night featuring performances by the Korean B-boy group SDG Crew and the Korean girl group Queen…
In conjunction with the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival, the Korean Embassy in Vietnam (Ambassador Choi Youngsam), in collaboration with the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, will host the Korean Culture Day in Da Lat 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on December 13th at Lam Vien Square.
The program is jointly implemented by the Korean Cultural Center (Director Choi Seung Jin) and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, with support from the Korea Institute for Design & Craft Promotion, the Korea Tourism Organization's Vietnam Office, the Korea Creative Content Agency's Vietnam Office, and the Korea Copyright Protection Agency's Vietnam Office.
The program was organized to enhance cultural exchange between South Korea and Vietnam in localities with great development potential in Vietnam, such as Da Lat, which is well-known to many South Koreans.
The program will begin with a collective kimjang experience, or Korean kimchi-making culture, using vegetables from Da Lat, at 8:00 AM on December 13th. Approximately 200 people will have the opportunity to experience one of the beautiful aspects of Korean culture, gathering together to make kimchi as winter approaches, under the guidance of a Korean culinary instructor.
The exhibition area, open from 9 am to 9 pm, features a variety of engaging activities such as: experiencing wearing hanbok; guessing Korean cultural images; experiencing making traditional Korean kites; flying kites using virtual reality technology; experiencing K-pop and exciting Korean creative content; learning about Korean tourism and copyright; exploring and experiencing the culture, tourism, and products of Da Lat, Lam Dong...
In particular, the Vietnam-Korea cultural and artistic exchange concert promises to deliver a profound, meaningful, and emotional evening of art with incredibly impressive, vibrant, and unique performances by the Korean B-boy group SDG Crew, the Korean girl group Queen, singer Trung Quan Idol, the K-pop cover dance group Lucifer & Bestever, and artists from the Da Lat City Cultural Center. The concert will take place from 7 PM to 9 PM on the same day at the main stage, Lam Vien Square.
Mr. Choi Seung Jin, Director of the Korean Cultural Center, said, “I hope that the 2024 Korean Culture Day program in Da Lat will be an interesting stop for tourists visiting Da Lat this December. At the same time, this will also contribute to further strengthening cultural exchange between Korea and Vietnam in the city of a thousand flowers in Lam Dong province.”
Da Lat is currently one of the favorite destinations for many domestic and international tourists, especially Korean tourists, who are impressed not only by its climate, scenery, and people, but also by its many unique tourism and cultural products.
Previously, on December 4th, Da Lat City organized a children's art exhibition between Da Lat and Chuncheon (South Korea); and a cultural and artistic exchange night between Da Lat City and Chuncheon.
