The Harley-Davidson Breakout 117 is one of seven new models introduced by the American motorcycle manufacturer's distributor in mid-July, with a total value of nearly 10 billion VND. This Harley-Davidson (HD) model is imported from Thailand.
The overall design of the 2023 Breakout largely retains the chopper-inspired style of its predecessor. The Breakout remains true to its characteristic American muscular design, featuring glossy black metal panels combined with bright chrome accents.
The 2023 HD Breakout features higher handlebar risers and a stainless steel handlebar, providing a more comfortable riding position than the previous model. The fuel tank design remains unchanged, but its capacity has increased from 13.2 liters to 18.9 liters.
The car's cast aluminum wheels also feature a new design with 26 jet-turbine-shaped spokes, measuring 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear. Each wheel combines a glossy black paint finish with a brushed finish on one half, creating the illusion of rolling even when stationary.
HD's cruiser model has a seat height of 665 mm and a length of 2,370 mm, weighing over 300 kg. Both the headlight and taillight are LED. A small 2.14-inch speedometer display is located in the middle of the handlebars.
The 117 designation after the 2023 Breakout name indicates a major engine upgrade: the new Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, which has been featured on many other HD models for the past two years. This engine has a displacement of 1,923 cubic centimeters, producing 102 horsepower and 167 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
In addition to ABS brakes, the new Breakout model includes technologies such as traction control and cruise control.
The Harley-Davidson Breakout 117 is priced at 939-959 million VND depending on the color scheme. This price is significantly higher than many cars in Vietnam, for example, the Mazda CX-5 C-segment CUV costs 749-829 million VND or the Ford Territory costs 822-935 million VND...
In Vietnam, in addition to the Breakout in terms of price and design, customers also have other options such as the BMW R18, priced from 959 million VND.
