Born in Quang Ngai and raised in Can Tho , at the age of 18, Nguyen Ngoc Hai moved to Ho Chi Minh City to study telecommunications network administration at university – a field that met his family's expectations of easy job placement. From a young age, Hai had been interested in and passionate about the violin, but lacked the opportunity to pursue it. The young man, born in the 1990s, began his first days of independence by quietly working part-time, simultaneously maintaining his university studies and diligently nurturing his love for the violin.
Ngoc Hai has trained hard not only to fulfill his passion but also because of his desire to contribute to the music- loving community.
Despite graduating from university and securing a job in his field, Hai still harbored a dream of starting his own business with the violin. After years of hard work, Hai accumulated some capital and established a music teaching center. This center was actually a continuation of his journey from his student days, which was teaching violin. The music school is fully equipped with modern facilities and a qualified staff. In addition to violin, they also teach piano and guitar.
The decision to give up a stable office job to follow the "call" of the violin has brought many benefits to Ngoc Hai.
Beyond his talent, dedication and perseverance are key to Ngoc Hai's success. He once worked as a marketing employee to improve his knowledge and skills, leading to breakthrough changes for his music school's brand. Even during the difficult times in the music education market, he remained undeterred. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, causing many businesses to struggle, Hai's music school was no exception. He diligently built everything up, from guiding and connecting the team, acquiring equipment, creating lectures, and posting performance clips on social media. As a result, more and more students of all ages have come to him. His happiness lies in creating jobs for many other young people and perfecting an effective online course, with students from 12 countries enrolled.
One of the things that makes Ngoc Hai proud and confident in the path she has chosen is changing the perception of many people that it becomes harder to learn to play an instrument as one gets older. In fact, many middle-aged and senior students not only play the instrument proficiently but also pass the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) certificate, issued by the Association of Royal Schools of Music, which is recognized globally.
