According to Anadolu news agency, Hezbollah targeted military vehicles, drone jamming systems, and launchers belonging to Israel's Iron Dome air defense system.
The group claimed the attacks were in retaliation for Israel violating the ceasefire and attacking villages in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah said it targeted an Israeli military engineering vehicle in the southern Lebanese city of Bint Jbeil with a drone. Additionally, a piece of equipment and a command vehicle in the Jal Al-Allam area of northern Israel were also hit.
According to Hezbollah, an Israeli Heron 1 UAV was intercepted by surface-to-air missiles in the Bekaa region of Lebanon, forcing it to leave the area. The group also confirmed using UAVs and artillery to target four Iron Dome launchers at the Branit and Ramim camps, three anti-UAV jamming systems at Nimr Al-Jamal, Al-Jardah, and Naqoura, as well as Israeli troop concentrations in Deir Siryan and Bayyada.
In recent months, Hezbollah's drones, particularly the fiber-optically controlled models, have caused increasing concern in Israel due to their difficulty in detection and interception. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described these drones as a "major threat" and called on the military to develop countermeasures against them.
According to Lebanese officials, more than 3,100 people have been killed and 1.6 million displaced in the latest Israeli attacks in Lebanon, which began on March 2nd, after Hezbollah retaliated against Israel for its conflict with Iran. The Israeli attacks have continued despite a US-brokered ceasefire agreement.
