Coach Duc Thang, leading The Cong Viettel, declares his team will play beautiful football.

Immediately after signing the contract, Coach Nguyen Duc Thang had his first working session as the head coach of The Cong Viettel Club.

On his debut day, coach Nguyen Duc Thang shared his special feelings: "I have spent 20 years in the military and over 10 years in the national championship, but the feelings of a player are very different from the feelings of someone in the position of head coach."

Before leading The Cong Viettel, Coach Duc Thang had a very successful period as the head coach of Binh Dinh Club.

In the past, coach Nguyen Duc Thang was involved in youth training at The Cong Viettel before making his mark by helping Saigon FC win the First Division championship in 2015 and gain promotion to the V-League.

After moving on to manage Thanh Hoa FC, the strategist born in 1976 continued to impress with a double runner-up finish in the V-League 2018 and the National Cup 2018.

Regarding the playing style he will build for The Cong Viettel, Coach Duc Thang said: "I will strive to build a football philosophy, identity, and playing style for The Cong Viettel players."

The players will focus on ball control, teamwork, and attractive attacking football. We are ready to perform brilliantly and deliver exciting matches for the fans."

On the day Viettel Sports Club welcomed its new coach, captain and central defender Bui Tien Dung said: "Coach Duc Thang shared very openly in the first meeting about the difficulties and challenges facing the whole team."
