In a recent interview, Klopp frankly stated that he has no need to return to coaching in the near future, and possibly not even ever. "I don't think I'll change my mind, though nobody can say for sure. But I don't need to coach football until the last day of my life," Klopp shared.
The former Liverpool manager said he is enjoying a more balanced life, spending more time with his family and pursuing personal projects outside of football.
Since leaving Liverpool in 2024, Klopp has not managed any other club. Instead, the German strategist has taken on the role of Global Director of Football at Red Bull, a position that involves long-term management and strategic direction, far removed from the weekly pressures on the pitch.
Nevertheless, given his reputation and resounding past successes, Klopp is still frequently considered a strong candidate for the head coach position at major clubs, especially Real Madrid.
After parting ways with coach Xabi Alonso after just over half a season, Real Madrid quickly added Klopp to their list of potential candidates. However, the 57-year-old coach appeared completely indifferent to these speculations.
The aforementioned statements suggest that Klopp is truly closing a major chapter in his coaching career. At least for now, Real Madrid or any other "big club" would find it difficult to persuade the German strategist to return to coaching.
