"It was April 2022. One evening while I was lying down reading a book, I accidentally felt an unusual mass on my left breast," Miss Tran Bao Ngoc shared.
In 2000, Tran Bao Ngoc won the crown in the Miss Vietnam Photo contest.
Worried, the next morning she went to a private hospital for an ultrasound, biopsy and then received a positive result.
"I was shocked because since I was young, I have always been conscious of maintaining my health, eating scientifically , exercising regularly, and not using stimulants, so I didn't think I would get sick. When I received the cancer results and left in a taxi, my tears fell," the beauty said.

The following days were a difficult journey fighting the disease. Tran Bao Ngoc said she is a strong person, always seeing motivation in the most difficult situations. She read books, met with leading experts to understand her disease before making important decisions.
She started modeling very early.
"First I received the results myself and kept them to myself, then when I had the treatment plan I informed my family.
Of course, there were times when I felt very weak. But that feeling of weakness did not last long. I even thought that my illness was a warning that I needed to return to myself. There were times when I was so stressed that I ate without knowing what I was eating, or skipped meals and did not pay attention to any signs in my body.

Early detection of the disease made me look inward, slow down, listen to my body's problems so I could change my lifestyle and adapt to this new condition.
Although great fortune has come to me, luckily I still have the health and finances to face it. I think I am on a journey to recovery" - Bao Ngoc shared about her difficult journey.
Bao Ngoc said that even though she sometimes feels depressed, she always reminds herself to get treatment and live optimistically.
After many radiation treatments, she now goes for check-ups every 3 months. The beauty queen said her condition is endocrine, so to control estrogen production, she needs to take medication for 10 years.
To capture the moments of her time facing cancer, Tran Bao Ngoc talked with Duzng Yoko - Creative Director of several fashion magazines - to create the artistic photo series "Resurrection". The team with Phan Dang Hoang, Thuan Vu, Ja Nguyen... helped her have a beautiful photo series.
Bao Ngoc said she always reminds herself to live a moderate life, take medicine regularly, reduce stress and live optimistically.
"During the days in the hospital, where everyone had the same health and illness, I was always the one who made the atmosphere happy and positive," said the once famous model.
In 1994, Tran Bao Ngoc was one of three Vietnamese models (along with Vu Cam Nhung and Duong Thanh Chan) representing Vietnam at the Asian Model Contest in Guam, USA.
Tran Bao Ngoc was born in 1978, 1m76 tall. Thanks to her outstanding height, she started her modeling career at the age of 16.
In 1995, she won first prize in the Vietnamese model contest in the national fashion model search. In 2000, Tran Bao Ngoc won the crown in the Miss Vietnamese Women through photos contest.
For a long time, Bao Ngoc was an excellent model on the catwalk. Together with Duong Thanh Chan, Vu Cam Nhung, Tran Thanh Ha, Thuy Hang - Thuy Hanh... Tran Bao Ngoc created the first "golden generation" in the modeling world.
In 2001, at the peak of her career, Bao Ngoc suddenly got married to a lawyer 11 years older than her. The two dated for 7 years before deciding to get married. Tran Bao Ngoc is now living happily with her husband and 2 children.
