(DTO) At this time, the Tet holiday atmosphere is gradually spreading throughout the province. As usual, the market for flowers and ornamental plants for Tet has begun to liven up with countless colorful flowers "flooding" the streets.

Along National Highway 50 heading towards the eastern part of the province, many flower and ornamental plant stalls have sprung up in recent days.

According to observations, the Tet shopping atmosphere has gradually become more lively in recent days. Besides many essential goods, flowers and ornamental plants are among the items that consumers are interested in every time Tet comes around.

Tet flowers are starting to "flood" onto the main roads.

Along major roads and in the city center, flower and ornamental plant stalls have gradually sprung up, contributing to the festive atmosphere of spring.

Along the streets, the spring atmosphere is enhanced by the buying and selling of flowers and ornamental plants.

This year, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dat (from Ho Chi Minh City) brought over 80 pairs of crystal chrysanthemums to sell during Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year). He rented an empty plot of land on Hung Vuong Street (Dao Thanh Ward, Dong Thap Province) to sell Tet flowers. According to Mr. Dat, after 3 days, he sold 10 pots of crystal chrysanthemums, each pair priced at about 1.7 million VND.

Flowers and ornamental plants for Tet (Lunar New Year) are "spilling" onto the streets in Cho Gao commune.

Mr. Dat shared: “This is the first year I’ve brought chrysanthemums to Dong Thap to sell. This year, the price of the flowers is similar to last year. Hopefully, in the coming days, sales will be good so I can sell all the flowers.”

Apricot blossoms are being sold to celebrate Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year).

Not only on major roads, but at this time of year, Tet flowers and ornamental plants are also brought to flower markets by small traders and residents.

Flower stalls began popping up in Vinh Binh commune, Dong Thap province on the morning of February 9th.

Mr. Dang Quoc Lo (Long Binh commune, Dong Thap province) said: “This year, I brought flowers and ornamental plants to the Go Cong ward spring flower market to sell on the 17th day of the 12th lunar month. I have already sold about 100 pots of various flowers and ornamental plants. This year, the price of bougainvillea is about 50,000 VND/pot lower than last year. The prices of other types of flowers remain the same as last year.”

Mr. Dat brought flowers from Ho Chi Minh City to Dao Thanh ward to sell.

"2026 is the year of the horse, so I've created paper flowers in the shape of a horse. Sales of flowers and ornamental plants are still slow. Sellers expect faster sales in the coming days as Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches."

Mr. Lo has now sold about 100 potted plants and flowers of various kinds.
