Spreading the spirit of respecting teachers and valuing education.
November is an opportunity for students to express their gratitude to the dedicated teachers who have guided them. Observations at many schools in Hanoi show that activities to express appreciation on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th, are vibrant and meaningful.
This year, Tran Duy Hung Secondary School (Hanoi) held a ceremony to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on the morning of November 20th.
In addition to activities honoring teachers, school representatives said that the highlight of this year's anniversary celebration is a discussion and exchange program with the family of Mr. Tran Duy Hung. This is an opportunity to educate students about the history and pride in the school's tradition of academic excellence.

At Le Quy Don High School (Dong Da District, Hanoi), students designed paintings and wall posters to express their feelings and gratitude to their teachers.
Each wall newspaper artwork contains the thoughts and feelings of the students dedicated to their teachers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th. Incorporating messages of gratitude to their teachers into each page is also a way of expressing their appreciation.
Teachers and students of Phenikaa Secondary and High School together experienced "Melody of Gratitude" – a special program to express their deep gratitude to the teachers who have accompanied, guided, and inspired them every day.
The sweet melodies sung by the school's students resonated like a heartbeat of gratitude, a message from the students to their teachers: "The dedication, love, and valuable lessons of our teachers will always live on in the hearts of every student."
This year, on the occasion of November 20th, Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School organized a series of meaningful activities to honor the contributions of teachers and spread the spirit of "respecting teachers and valuing education" to all secondary and high school students.
Specifically, from November 10th to November 20th, students decorated their classrooms according to the theme "Celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day".
In addition, each class organizes a class activity with the theme "Celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day - Respecting Teachers," with content honoring and expressing gratitude to the homeroom teachers and subject teachers of the class; and creates a magazine with the theme "Respecting Teachers - Expressing Gratitude to Teachers" in A3 size.

In addition, school representatives said that the school's Psychology Club and Book Club have set up a "2011 Mailbox" corner where students can write cards, send messages, and express their feelings to their teachers starting from [date]. All cards and messages will be displayed in front of the Teachers' Council room today. Today (November 19th) and tomorrow (November 20th). Along with that, there will be other meaningful activities.
The most precious gift is always the growth and maturity of our students.
Ms. Van Le Na, Vice Principal of Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School, said that activities celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th are not only an opportunity to express gratitude to the teaching staff but also an important part of school culture education. Activities such as decorating classrooms, writing greeting cards, creating school magazines, and participating in cultural programs help students express their feelings and gratitude naturally and sincerely.
These activities also help connect teachers and students, spread the spirit of respecting teachers, and provide a moment for the entire school to reflect on the efforts and silent contributions of the teaching staff in their journey with the students.

As an educational institution, Ms. Na stated that the school identifies character development for students as its greatest goal, especially through the series of activities on November 20th. The school guides students towards core values such as gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of others; a sense of responsibility towards the collective; and civilized behavior and sincerity in communication.
When students prepare a greeting card themselves, write a message, or participate in group activities, it is a process in which they develop life skills, cultivate positive emotions, and nurture the good qualities that the school always hopes to instill in its students.
Sharing about the most meaningful gift for teachers on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, Ms. Na said that the most precious gift is always the growth of her students. Nothing can bring greater joy than seeing them progress every day, learning to love, live responsibly, and strive for their goals.
"Simple wishes, handmade cards, or handwritten letters always hold special sentimental value because they show that the students understand and appreciate the efforts their teachers have put in for them. They are invaluable spiritual gifts that make each teacher feel that their work is meaningful and continue to inspire them to dedicate themselves," Ms. Na shared.
