On January 22nd, the High School of Practice affiliated with the University of Education held its spring festival with the theme "Colors of National Culture".
The festival is held from 7 am to 5 pm, with many attractive activities such as: a green sticky rice cake making competition, a cultural colors contest, a Dong Ho painting artisan competition; food and handicrafts; colorful costumes...
Each competition brought excitement, laughter, and curiosity to the students. Simultaneously, the student-designed booths showcased the unique characteristics of each ethnic group. Therefore, the students were able to immerse themselves in their ethnic culture while enjoying the vibrant spring festivals to the fullest.

For Thien Y, an 11th-grade student at the school, the time spent researching and preparing for the festival brought her many valuable experiences. "Our group chose to create a Cham ethnic costume to showcase the unique characteristics of this ethnic group within the multicultural landscape of Vietnam," Thien Y shared.
Meanwhile, Luu Nguyen, a 10th-grade student, couldn't hide her excitement about participating in this spring festival.
"Each ethnic group has its own unique cuisine, distinctive costumes, and captivating games. When I see my friends and older siblings in the traditional clothing of different ethnic groups, I feel like I'm traveling to different ethnic communities: Tay, Dao, Thai, Cham...", Luu Nguyen expressed.

The spring festival "Colors of Ethnic Culture" involved all students and teachers of the school. Students divided up the learning tasks assigned by the teachers.
Accordingly, each group of students had to research the culture and create characteristic products of the ethnic group they were assigned to work with. Notably, this grouping was not based on class, but rather by "drawing lots," mixing members from three grades: 10, 11, and 12.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu, principal of the University of Pedagogy's Practice High School, said the school chose the theme "Colors of National Culture" with the desire to bring students a deep understanding of Vietnamese national culture, with the diversity of its ethnic groups.
In addition, having students from different grade levels work together on common tasks, in a shared group, enhances the experience and connection among students throughout the school, as well as providing them with necessary skills.

At the "Colors of National Culture" spring festival, the Practice High School invited Dong Ho painting artisans to meet with students so they could learn more about national culture and the meaning of these paintings in the traditional Vietnamese Tet (Lunar New Year) celebration. Dong Ho paintings, with their simple brushstrokes, carry profound meanings, conveying wishes for abundant blessings and prosperity in the new year.
