In Quang Nam, two new ticket sales points have been set up in the bus station area, while signposts have been installed and staff are stationed in the alleys leading to the Old Quarter.

On the morning of May 15th, the first day of intensified ticket control at the Old Town, two new ticket booths were set up at bus station 332 on Ly Thuong Kiet Street and Thanh Ha bus station, more than 1 km from the city center. At each location, staff from the Hoi An City Cultural , Sports and Broadcasting Center sold tickets and guided tour groups disembarking to purchase tickets for sightseeing.

"From morning until noon, there haven't been any groups of customers. Around 2 PM, more groups started arriving," a staff member said, adding that the counter had only been built a few days prior.

To serve tourists, more than 10 electric vehicles are parked at the station. The price is set at 10,000 VND per person for distances under 3 km, with a minimum of 5 people per trip. Other passengers traveling from the bus station to nearby points in the Old Quarter also pay this fare.

Along Phan Chau Trinh Street, more than 5 alleyways have had signs installed by the An Minh ward's civil defense force with the message: Tourists please go to the nearest counter for guidance and service during your visit to the Old Quarter.

Each alleyway is staffed with personnel who, upon seeing tourists entering, will direct them away, indicating that only locals are permitted to enter and exit. Maps will be provided to guide tourists to ticket counters.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lanh, Vice Chairman of Hoi An City, said that with the two new ticket counters, there are now a total of 12 ticket counters, helping to strengthen control over visits to the ancient town.

"Compared to before, the number of guides, inspectors, and ticket managers has almost doubled. Because this time we are organizing attentive service for tourists and addressing shortcomings, we have increased the number of personnel," he said, adding that preparations were completed this morning and will be implemented this afternoon when the tour group arrives.

Regarding the additional cost incurred by tourists for using electric shuttle vehicles, Mr. Lanh stated that he had previously worked with travel agencies and they were willing to share the cost. This amount would be included in the tourists' travel expenses.

The plan to strengthen ticket control for visiting the Old Quarter focuses on tourists traveling in groups. These groups are identified as belonging to a travel company, accompanied by a tour guide and flags, and typically travel in vehicles with 15 seats or more. Tickets cost 120,000 VND for international tourists and 80,000 VND for domestic tourists.

The city will ban vehicles with more than 15 seats from entering the city center. Vehicles must park at two designated parking areas outside the center, more than 1 km away. Upon arrival, staff will sell tickets at these locations. Afterwards, electric shuttle buses will take guests to points near the Old Quarter, accompanied by a tour guide. They will be transported into the Old Quarter via main roads, bypassing alleyways and side streets.
