DTO - As part of the first "Land of Pink Lotus Club - Partnering for Development" festival in 2023, the Land of Pink Lotus Club Culinary Competition took place on the afternoon of November 18th.
Members of the Long Hau Hoi Quan team (Lai Vung district) participate in preparing dishes at the competition.
Accordingly, the competition attracted the participation of more than 40 contestants from 12 teams representing clubs throughout the province.
Ms. Mai Thi Bich Tuyen, representing the Long Hau Hoi Quan team (Lai Vung district), shared: “The dishes our team brought to the competition are local startup products such as: pink tangerine salad, sea bass in pink tangerine sauce, and snakehead fish salad with four-flavor mango. Through this competition, our team hopes to contribute to introducing and promoting dishes that are rich in the flavors of Lai Vung to tourists near and far.”
The dishes prepared at the competition were very appealing.
According to the competition organizers, the participating teams showed meticulous preparation, ensuring the quality of their dishes from ingredient selection to processing. Most of the dishes were prepared using ingredients characteristic of the province (lotus, mango, mandarin oranges, etc.), with the aim of promoting to locals and tourists the versatility of culinary techniques, creating many delicious dishes with wonderful flavors, characteristic of the "Land of Pink Lotus"...
The judging panel of the competition proceeded to score the dishes.
After the competition, the first prize went to Long Hau Club (Lai Vung district); the two second prizes went to Duy Tan Club (Cao Lanh city) and Hong Tan Club (Hong Ngu city). At the same time, the judging panel also selected three teams for third prize and six teams for consolation prizes.
