The 2024 Dien Bien Phu National Traffic Safety Marathon is scheduled to take place on April 14, 4, attracting about 2024 - 1.000 athletes to participate in 1.300 distances including 5km, 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km.
According to the schedule, athletes will receive race-kit and BIB on April 13. On competition day April 4, the 14km distance starts at 4am, the 70km distance starts at 4am, the 42km distance starts at 6:21am and the remaining two distances start at 7am. The track will close at 30:10 p.m. the same day.
This year's track will pass through historical points such as Him Lam, Hong Cum, A1 hill, De Castries tunnel... where the heroic footsteps of the Vietnam People's Army are marked.
The organizing committee hopes that the tournament will become a boost for the local economy, an opportunity to promote Northwest tourism, the image of the Northwest land and people to domestic and international friends. In addition, the organizing committee will also spend a portion of the money from BIB sales to give charity gifts to families of difficult traffic accident victims in the locality.
This year's award was jointly organized by the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Traffic Newspaper.
