Over 4.7 billion VND allocated to support victims of Agent Orange.

On the morning of June 10th, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin held a conference to review the association's work during the first six months of the year and to set out directions and tasks for the last six months of 2025.

According to the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, there are currently 6,239 victims of Agent Orange in the province; of which 5,134 are receiving benefits and 1,105 are not.

In the first six months of 2025, all levels of the Association consistently demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and actively participated in organizing and mobilizing resources. Simultaneously, they strengthened coordination with relevant agencies to organize activities such as visiting, giving gifts, and caring for victims and their families. Notably, during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake (2015), the entire Provincial Association mobilized over 5,100 gift packages for victims and their families affected by Agent Orange. In addition, the Association mobilized financial support for medical examinations and eye surgery for 560 poor victims and people in difficult circumstances; donated gifts, awarded over 100 scholarships, provided wheelchairs, built 3 new "Agent Orange Shelter" houses, and repaired 1 house for a victim... With a total value of over 4.7 billion VND in cash and gifts, achieving 120% of the year's plan.

The work of caring for victims of Agent Orange has always been a priority for all levels of the association.

In the last six months of the year, all levels of the Association will continue to coordinate efforts to care for and assist Agent Orange victims and their families in difficult circumstances. At the same time, they will proactively advise Party committees and government authorities on directives and state management regarding activities related to the Association's work and the resolution of entitlements and policies for victims of Agent Orange/dioxin contamination.

In addition, the committee will carry out review, statistical analysis, and reporting in preparation for handover when directed by higher authorities; determine the correct policies of the Party regarding the merger of provinces and centrally-administered cities, the termination of district-level administrative units, the reduction of commune-level administrative units, the strengthening of grassroots cadres, and the transfer of mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and strictly comply with the assignments and decisions of competent authorities.
