Statistics show that the entire province has 86 flooded and isolated areas; 1,416 households/5,479 people are flooded in the communes of Huong Hiep, Nam Hai Lang, Ba Long, Ta Rut, Quang Tri , and Trieu Phong; 5 landslides occurred on provincial roads through the communes of La Lay and Huong Hiep; 3 schools had to close in the communes of Nam Hai Lang and Ba Long; and more than 5,130 households lost power in the communes of Trieu Phong, Khe Sanh, Dakrong, Huong Hiep, and Ba Long.

To proactively respond to floods, the entire province organized the relocation of 364 households/1,259 people in the communes of Huong Phung, Ba Long, Dakrong, Ta Rut, Khe Sanh, Quang Tri and Trieu Phong.
The floods caused one person to go missing in La Lay commune (Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, born in 1977, residing in Ba Don ward, was driving a truck with license plate 75H 00713 when he was swept away by the water while crossing a flooded ford); three houses were damaged by landslides; and 41 head of livestock and poultry were swept away in Huong Hiep commune.
In La Lay commune, the riverbank in A Bung village collapsed, causing more than half of a rural road to be eroded. In Khe Sanh commune, there were two landslides at the foot of the bridge in Ruong village, Block 6, and at the edge of the bridge in Block 6. In La Lay commune, a landslide occurred at Km9+400 on National Highway 15D, causing traffic disruption, with approximately 15 cubic meters of soil and rocks spilling onto the road. In Ba Long commune, two motorboats sank, and three cars were submerged.
