Breakthrough in employment

The Provincial People's Committee directed agencies and units to review needs, disseminate and motivate workers, guide businesses operating labor export services to register to participate in the project, evaluate and select good orders and contracts to recruit workers, focus on supporting businesses, and remove difficulties in the implementation process in the locality.

The family of Ms. Khong Thi Tinh, Dong Troi village, Binh Ca commune, used to be very poor. Thanks to the support of the local government, she boldly registered to work in Taiwan. Later, her two children continued to register to work in Japan. Ms. Tinh happily said: “This spacious house is thanks to working abroad in Japan. Since the children went to work abroad, they have sent home tens of millions of dong every month. With the money, her family built a house, invested in production and business models, and deposited the rest in the bank to get more interest. The family's life has become much better than before.”

Mr. Ha Van Bang in Bac Quang commune said: “After participating in the job fair organized in the area, he chose to work in the agricultural sector in the Korean market with an income of 40 to 50 million VND/month. With a stable income, he sent money back to build a spacious house and accumulated capital to open a business to increase his family's income. If he had not dared to boldly go to work abroad, he would never have achieved the above achievements.”

Creating momentum for local economic development

Labor export not only helps individuals and families escape poverty but also creates a strong driving force for the socio-economic development of the whole province. Many returning workers have become successful start-up examples, applying advanced knowledge and technology from abroad to production and business, creating more jobs for local people.

After 2 years of working in Japan, Mr. Dao Van Hieu, Tan Quang village, Kim Binh commune has accumulated a capital of more than 1 billion VND. Having experience in the animal feed industry, he opened a store selling animal feed. More dynamically, he also helped his sister's labor export consulting company open a Japanese language class in the locality, invited experienced lecturers to teach, and maintained regular Japanese classes for 8-10 workers who want to go to work abroad in the commune.

The poverty rate in the province has decreased rapidly and sustainably in recent times, showing a significant contribution from labor export activities. Currently, Tuyen Quang province is making efforts to diversify the market, improve labor quality and strengthen cooperation with reputable partners to ensure the best interests of workers, expand the labor market to developed countries such as Japan, Korea and European countries...

According to data from the Department of Home Affairs, since the beginning of the year, more than 800 workers in the province have gone to work abroad under contracts. The goal by 2025 is to send 1,500 people to work abroad, including poor workers to increase their income and create a sustainable way out of poverty.

Comrade To Hoang Linh, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs said: “In the coming time, the Department of Home Affairs will strengthen coordination with functional sectors and localities to effectively implement the work of sending workers in the province to work abroad. Guide and issue licenses to units and enterprises using foreign workers in accordance with regulations. At the same time, strengthen propaganda about programs, labor markets and the effectiveness of labor export, effectively implement support policies on vocational training, preferential loans for workers in the province who want to go to work abroad... Thereby helping to improve labor quality, solve employment, and increase income for workers in the province”.
