Aesthetic impression
Writer Chu Thi Minh Hue emerges as a "storyteller" deeply devoted to her homeland. Works such as "Red Dust," "Long Linen Thread," "Dew-Drenched Chestnut Blossoms," and "Landlord"... subtly portray everything from the poignant sound of the Hmong flute to sacred rituals, from human destiny to social changes. Many of her literary works have transcended the boundaries of appreciation, entering classrooms and becoming a bridge helping the younger generation recognize their roots, understand, and love their local culture.
On another level, with their innate sensitivity, these female poets together weave a deeply moving aesthetic. There is the proud, blazing kapok flower in "Half a Circle of Cotton" (Doan Thi Ky); the harmonious sounds of the vast forest in "Double Stream," "Soong Co Region" (Vuong Huyen Nhung), or "The Restless Season of Brocade" (Trinh Thu). There is also the poignant empathy for the plight of women in the highlands in "The Dream of Grass" (Then Huong), and the pristine world of childhood in Nguyen Quynh Mai's children's poetry. Transcending ordinary rhymes, each poem is a commitment to the mission of passing on the flame, persistently illuminating human love, and preserving the cultural heritage of the nation.
Not limited to written words, the artist's influence extends to the colors of painting. In 2025, painter Nguyen Yen brought the pride of Tuyen Quang to a large-scale international watercolor exhibition in Ceret (Republic of France). With her masterful brushstrokes, her two works, "The Little House in Lao Xa" and "The Sa Mu Tree at the Edge of the Village," passed the rigorous selection process to stand alongside 370 works from 58 countries. In particular, "The Sa Mu Tree at the Edge of the Village" caught the eye of an international collector, becoming a cultural ambassador, bringing the beauty of the Tuyen Quang highlands to international friends.

Under the stage lights, singer Hoang Dung shines with a gentle yet deeply powerful demeanor. With her versatile musical talent, she seamlessly transitions from modern pop to contemporary folk and the captivating Then and Coi melodies. The sweet fruits of her persistent dedication are the title of Champion of the Hanoi Folk Song Star competition and numerous national gold and silver medals. “Every time I sing, I always keep in mind that I am carrying a message about my roots, using the sounds of art to proudly tell the story of my homeland,” singer Hoang Dung confided.
The ability to inspire
The Provincial Association of Literature and Arts currently has 312 members, of which more than 40% are women, participating in almost all disciplines. Even more commendable, many female artists not only possess strong professional skills but also effectively fulfill management roles, creating an artistic environment and nurturing the next generation.
Setting aside her usual gentle demeanor as an artist, in her role as Party Branch Secretary and Head of the Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Thu Hong clearly demonstrates her leadership qualities. In July 2025, when Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang merged, opening up new opportunities for development but also posing numerous challenges in organizing and operating artistic activities, she, with her flexible thinking and passionate dedication, transformed pressure into a unifying force, ensuring that artistic journeys continued to reach remote villages. The Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial People's Committee are well-deserved recognition for this dedicated female leader who persistently brings the light of culture to the remote areas.

Not only has writer Chu Thi Minh Hue made her mark through her writing, but she has also demonstrated unwavering competence as the Editor-in-Chief of Tuyen Quang Literature and Arts Magazine. Facing the context of an expanding geographical area and the need for a streamlined organizational structure, she has successfully blended the passionate heart of an artist with the cool head of an administrator. As a result, each publication fully captures the essence of Tuyen Quang, deeply rooted in literature and art, and contributing to the dissemination of the voices of writers – soldiers on the ideological front.
But what few people know is that behind the glamour lies a multitude of hardships. For women in the arts, the creative journey is always intertwined with the pressure of making a living, the responsibility of maintaining a happy family, and the aspiration to reach the pinnacle of their careers. To balance all of this, they must be more persistent, stronger, and possess greater willpower. Singer Hoang Dung shared: "There were times when I had to take my young child with me to every performance venue, cherishing every spare moment to practice vocals and mentor my students." Overcoming the hardships of making a living, the flame of dedication within her has never died out. On the giảng platform, she not only imparts vocal techniques but also conveys the essence of each folk melody, empowering the next generation to both stay rooted in their heritage and confidently innovate traditional music.
In fact, within the artistic creative space of Tuyen Quang province, the imprint of women is persistently present in many disciplines, from literature, poetry, painting, and music to theater and photography; each field is renewed with aesthetic sensitivity and a spirit of dedication.
