On the evening of April 15th, at the 2026 Dedication Awards ceremony, Huong Tram won the Album of the Year award with her project "Lifebuoy" . This was a big surprise, because in a year with many albums highly praised for their quality, Huong Tram's creation was not a name frequently mentioned in previous predictions.

According to the results, "Lifeline" surpassed the nominees including "Amidst Ten Thousand People" (Phung Khanh Linh), "The Film" (Thanh Lam & Nguyen Vinh Tien), "Promise" (Nguyen Ngoc Anh), and " Made In Vietnam" (DTAP). Voting data shows that Huong Tram's album achieved 727,654 points, far ahead of the next best product, " Amidst Ten Thousand People," with 232,381 points.

After the results were announced, Huong Tram quickly became the center of debate on social media. Her post sharing her joy of winning received over 18,000 angry reactions in a short time, reflecting the wave of mixed reactions from a segment of the audience.

On social media, many comments suggest that the results don't accurately reflect the reach of music products this year, as "Lifeline" didn't produce many widely popular hits. Many also expressed regret for other nominees who were highly regarded for their reach and market impact. Furthermore, the large disparity in voting points between the nominees is also a point of discussion.

Conversely, many opinions defended Huong Tram, emphasizing that "Lifeline" is a distinctly personal product, fitting the criteria of the Dedication Award. Under the female artist's post, many colleagues such as Lan Nha, Vo Ha Tram, and fans also left congratulatory messages.

"Lifeline" is the album marking Huong Tram's return after a period of absence, released at the end of 2025 with approximately 12 songs. The product is built in the direction of cinematic pop, combining some ballad and modern pop elements, focusing on musical space and a narrative structure. Compared to her previous image, the album shows the singer's effort to change by not following the familiar formula of easy-listening ballads.

However, the product leans more towards personal emotions and introspection, placing less emphasis on creating a mainstream hit, therefore its market reach is not as outstanding as some albums from the same period.
