In fact, Apple discontinued the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 several years ago. However, the company continues to sell these two models in some markets, including Vietnam.
This is a familiar move that Apple often applies to some older devices, aiming to expand its product range and help the company diversify its customer segments. This also makes Apple devices more accessible to a wider range of users.
After the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 sold out, the iPhone 13 became the lowest-priced genuine iPhone that Apple is still selling in the Vietnamese market.
"With the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 officially discontinued, the iPhone 13 has become the most accessible option for customers looking for a device in the mid-range to upper-mid-range segment," a representative from Minh Tuan Mobile shared.
Currently, retailers are offering the iPhone 13 at a price of 11.3 million VND for the 128GB version. Sales of this product line have also seen significant growth following the recent price adjustment.
"Since March, sales of older iPhone models (excluding the iPhone 16 generation) have seen growth of up to 70%. In particular, iPhone 13 sales increased by 20% compared to the same period last year," said Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, media representative of CellphoneS.

In the unofficial market, the prices of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 have also been adjusted downwards. Specifically, a used iPhone 11 is priced at 5.5 million VND, while a used iPhone 12 with 64GB storage is offered at 6 million VND.
"Given the current price difference, most users tend to choose to buy a used iPhone 12. This model offers a better user experience in many aspects such as screen, camera, and performance," said Mr. Nguyen Van Giau, representative of the Di Dong My system.
It's important to note that the quality of used iPhones can vary. Therefore, users should prioritize choosing reputable dealers or retailers to ensure proper warranty and after-sales service.
