The latest leaks from YouTube channel Front Page Tech, Jon Prosser, suggest that Apple will bring an incredibly thin design to the iPhone 17 Air, potentially rendering Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone obsolete.

Specifically, Jon Prosser stated that the iPhone 17 Air will be 5.5 mm thick at its thinnest point, only slightly thicker than the current 13-inch OLED iPad Pro, which holds the record for the thinnest device at 5.1 mm. Even when combined with the camera lens protrusion, the iPhone 17 Air is only 5.9 mm thick, making it the thinnest iPhone Apple has ever produced.

Besides its slimmer design, the report also suggests the iPhone 17 Air will feature a new camera bar on the back, marking an improvement in Apple's design philosophy. This camera bar will integrate all necessary components, including a single-lens camera sensor on the left, a microphone, and an LED flash on the right. This indicates Apple is adopting a streamlined approach, as all models are rumored to have a similar camera bar.
Last week, Jon Prosser also revealed the design of the iPhone 17 Pro, showing a larger camera bar with three lenses, a LiDAR scanner, an LED flash, and a microphone. However, the reliability of this information remains questionable, as this YouTuber has an inconsistent track record of providing information about unreleased Apple products.
