According to a report from market research firm Counterpoint Research , the standard iPhone 17 model sold 14% more than its predecessor. This data was recorded after 10 days of sales in two key markets: the US and China.

Experts at Counterpoint Research attribute the product line's success to a series of improvements in display, larger storage capacity, and the upgraded A19 chip.
"Consumers appreciate the standard iPhone 17 for its valuable upgrades in specifications. In China, iPhone 17 sales nearly doubled compared to the iPhone 16 in the initial launch period, and this growth continued until October," shared senior analyst Ivan Lam.
In a similar view, senior analyst Mengmeng Zhang also stated that the iPhone 17 attracts users because it offers great value for money.
"Better chips and screens, larger storage, an upgraded selfie camera, all at a price comparable to last year's iPhone 16. In addition, users benefit from discounts through distribution channels. These factors have boosted iPhone 17 sales," Mengmeng Zhang emphasized.
Not only the standard version, but the iPhone 17 Pro Max has also seen a strong increase in demand, especially in the US market.
US carriers have launched various incentive packages to encourage users to upgrade to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. This move also contributes to encouraging users to spend more in the high-end mobile segment, helping Apple retain more customers.

Meanwhile, although the iPhone Air didn't achieve as much success, it had a promising start in the Chinese market. The model even sold out within minutes of going on sale in that country.
According to CNBC , the success of the iPhone 17 product line helped Apple's stock surge to a record high of $262.24 in the most recent trading session. To date, approximately half of Apple's revenue still comes from its iPhone business.
