According to a recent report, Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 series will integrate a vapor chamber cooling system similar to that on Android phones to improve heat dissipation efficiency.
Chinese technology site MyDrivers said that the entire iPhone 17 series, including iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, will be equipped with this new cooling technology by Apple.

Vapor chamber technology has been widely applied on many high-end Android devices. The working mechanism of the vapor chamber is to disperse heat evenly over the entire surface, helping to avoid performance degradation due to high temperature. This is especially effective on thin-design devices, ensuring stable performance.
Previously, the iPhone 15 Pro had overheating issues, but this problem has been solved thanks to the new cooling system of the iPhone 16 Pro. However, according to some reports, the device still faces difficulties when handling high thermal loads at too high a level. Therefore, the vapor chamber cooling solution is expected to solve this problem, helping to maintain more stable performance.
Last year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the iPhone 17 Pro Max would feature a proprietary cooling system that combines vapor chamber technology with graphene panels. In the latest report, the analyst said other iPhone models coming in 2025 will only use graphene panels without the vapor chamber.
If this rumor turns out to be true, the vapor chamber cooling system will bring many benefits to the iPhone 17 series, such as: maintaining stable performance, preventing speed reduction due to overheating; improving the ability to handle heavy tasks, optimizing for high-performance applications such as playing graphics-intensive games or editing videos ; at the same time, allowing for a thinner design without affecting heat dissipation efficiency.
As per annual tradition, new iPhone models are expected to be launched by Apple in September 2025. The 2025 iPhone lineup will include: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Air with an ultra-thin design.
Apple may completely fix the overheating issue that users have encountered on previous iPhone models. This improvement promises to bring a smoother user experience, especially for those who do not mind upgrading to the latest iPhone version.
