Ms. Nguyen Tuong Vi (residing on Hoang Sa Street, Nhieu Loc Ward) stated that she is currently using an iPhone 13 Pro Max. She has registered with a mobile phone retailer to purchase an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

"I've been using this phone for four years, so it's the right time for me to upgrade. I really like the orange iPhone 17 Pro Max, so I chose to buy it," said Ms. Vi.

Mr. Le Thang (residing on Thanh Thai Street, Dien Hong Ward) shared that he plans to trade in his iPhone 14 Pro for an iPhone 17 Pro Max. This year, he will choose the dark blue version.

Not only Vi and Thang, but thousands of people in Ho Chi Minh City have registered to receive information about purchasing the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air, as well as going to major phone retailers to buy previously released models such as the 15 series or 16 series.

Responding to a reporter from VTC News, representatives from The Gioi Dien May and Dien May Xanh online retailers stated that, as of September 11th, they had received over 64,000 registrations to receive information about the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air. The number of customers is expected to surge in the coming days.

According to a representative from Di Dong Viet, immediately after the launch of the new iPhone product line, the system officially opened registration for early information for customers interested in the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air. Registration helps customers get early access to details about pricing, policies, and exclusive benefits when the products officially go on sale.

According to representatives from this system, data from the last three iPhone seasons shows that the Pro and Pro Max models are the most popular among consumers. This year, the Pro Max version is expected to continue leading thanks to its upgraded camera and chip, while the regular iPhone will be the popular choice for those upgrading from the iPhone 12 and 13.

The trade-in trend is becoming increasingly popular. With the iPhone 16 series, over 40% of customers at this store chose to trade in their old phones for new ones.

“We predict that during this new iPhone sales season, one in two customers will choose to trade in, with the iPhone 13, 14, and 15 series being the most popular choices for upgrading to the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air. We will open for deposits from the evening of September 12th,” a representative from Di Dong Viet said.

According to representatives of this system, Vietnamese customers tend to buy early to keep up with trends, especially young people and office workers. Statistics show that in the first two weeks after launch, the number of customers receiving the device usually accounts for about 60% of the total orders in the first launch. “At our system, customers participating in the trade-in program account for about 30% of total transactions. Phones that have been used for 1-3 years are the most frequently traded in. Most people choose to upgrade from the iPhone 13, 14, or 15 series to the 17 series,” said a representative from Minh Tuan Mobile.

A representative from this system shared that, besides the recently launched iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air, this is a suitable time for people to upgrade to earlier models such as the iPhone 16 series or 15 series because the prices are very good.
