The iPhone 5c is about to become obsolete.

Apple plans to render the iPhone 5c, the smartphone launched in September 2013 alongside the iPhone 5s, obsolete next month.

According to MacRumors , before the iPhone 5c was added to the list of obsolete products, Apple had already listed it as a vintage product in October 2020. This means the company and its service providers can only offer certain repairs for the product, depending on the availability of parts.

The iPhone 5c can be seen as the beginning of the iPhone SE that was released later.

However, after the iPhone 5c becomes obsolete on November 1st, the company will cease all repair and service activities for the product. In a memo sent to authorized service providers, Apple also stated that it will list the third-generation iPad mini with Wi-Fi and TD-LTE as obsolete on the same day, November 1st.

The iPhone 5c is an iconic iPhone launched by Apple in September 2013, becoming the first iPhone to come in a range of bright and vibrant colors, including green, blue, pink, yellow, and white, thanks to its simple plastic casing design.
