Isak's life changed for the better in Liverpool.

Striker Alexander Isak is expected to receive a significant pay raise following his decision to join Liverpool on the final day of this summer's transfer window.

On the morning of September 1st, Athletic confirmed that Isak had joined Liverpool after Newcastle accepted a transfer fee of £130 million. This is a record-breaking transfer in Premier League history.

Givemesport and several other Liverpool-affiliated news outlets report that Isak will earn £250,000 per week at Anfield, a figure equal to that of another new signing, Hugo Ekitike. At Newcastle, Isak is currently earning £120,000 per week.

The new salaries also make Isak and Ekitike the third highest-paid players at Liverpool, after stars Mohamed Salah (£400,000/week) and Virgil van Dijk (£385,000/week).

The reality is that Liverpool has undergone a significant shift in spending, as the club was only fifth on the list of Premier League clubs with the highest wage bills in May. In the past, manager Jurgen Klopp stated that Liverpool's finances couldn't compare to those of Manchester City or even Newcastle.

The Isak deal brings Liverpool's summer spending to over £400 million, following high-profile signings like Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, and Ekitike.

Conversely, Liverpool also recouped approximately £170 million from player sales.
