On the afternoon of February 21st, Jennie (a member of the girl group BlackPink) officially released the music video for "ExtraL," the fourth single from her album "Ruby." Currently, the MV has garnered over 1.7 million views after just 3 hours of being uploaded to YouTube.

"ExtraL" was directed by Cole Bennett. A special feature of the music video is the collaboration between Jennie and American singer-rapper Doechii.

At the 67th Grammy Awards, Doechii impressively won the Grammy for Best Rap Album. The female rapper's music has become a sensation due to its trendy, catchy style and diverse musical elements.

"ExtraL" is a pure Hip-hop remix with a message of support for women. In the music video, Jennie wants to express: We – the ladies here – don't care what others think of us, or force ourselves to become a version that pleases someone else; we will wear, do, and go wherever we want.

The music video features a wide range of tones, creating a powerful portrayal of a world dominated by women.

Compared to previous releases in the album "Ruby," "ExtraL" focuses more on the performance. Jennie continues to pursue a sexy image with the lingerie-revealing trend. In the music video, Jennie and Doechii appear in white blazers with red lingerie, creating a look that is both seductive and powerful.

In particular, Jennie exuded a playful and bold vibe with her gold teeth, straight hair, bangs, and catchy, energetic rap lyrics and fast flow.

The melody and choreography of the artist in "ExtraL" promise to create a sensation in the coming days.

"Ruby" is Jennie's first solo studio album, scheduled for release on March 7th. Prior to this, Jennie has released 3 out of 15 tracks from the album, including "Mantra," "Zen," and "Love Hangover," featuring Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, and Kali Uchis.

To promote the album, Jennie will hold independent concerts called "The Ruby Experience" in Los Angeles, New York, and Incheon, South Korea.

The first concert will begin on March 6th at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, followed by Radio City Music Hall in New York City and Inspire Arena Seoul in South Korea later in March.

She also performed as a solo singer at the Coachella Music Festival 2025. Jennie then reunited with BlackPink this summer through a concert at Goyang Stadium in Seoul, South Korea on July 5-6.

Previously, appearing as a guest in a video posted on the YouTube channel "SsookSsook," Jennie shared her anxieties about promoting the album as she prepared for her comeback.

"I spent a year preparing for this album and working hard on the music. But the world has changed so much. These days, just releasing a song doesn't guarantee that people will listen to it."

There's so much content coming from everywhere. I want to do something that my fans will like, but I don't know exactly what it is. At my company, we have daily meetings to figure out a solution. Because there are more young people in the industry now, I find it difficult to keep up with their trends," the singer revealed.
