Vietnamese Jujitsu ranks 3rd in Asia.

At the conclusion of the professional category of the 2025 Asian Jujitsu Championships, the Vietnamese jujitsu team finished third overall, behind Thailand and Kazakhstan.

On the evening of May 25th (Vietnam time), the Vietnamese jujitsu team, consisting of 11 athletes, concluded their professional events at the 2025 Asian Jujitsu Championships. The tournament took place from May 23rd to 26th in Jordan.

The Vietnamese jujitsu team achieved impressive results, winning a total of 7 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals. Their overall ranking placed them third, behind Thailand and Kazakhstan.

Among the athletes' achievements, the most impressive were those of martial artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc, who won 3 gold medals in the women's over 70kg weight category in both fighting and contact events; and martial artist Tran Hong An, who won 2 gold medals in the women's under 52kg contact and women's under 57kg fighting events.

Boxer Nguyen Thi Minh Vuong won a silver medal in the women's contact under 63kg category and a bronze medal in the women's fighting under 70kg category.

Other female martial artists who won medals included: Ngo Thi Thao Van - gold medal in women's contact under 70kg; Vuong Tran Hoai Thuong - silver medal in women's fighting under 57kg, bronze medal in women's contact under 52kg; and Ha Thi Anh Uyen - bronze medal in women's contact under 63kg.

The most notable male fighter, Dao Hong Son, also won a gold medal in the men's contact under 56kg category and a bronze medal in the men's fighting under 56kg category.

In the team events, Vietnamese jujitsu won two bronze medals: mixed doubles Can Van Thang and Tran Hong An; and men's doubles Nguyen Tien Trien and Van Suu.

Reaching the top ranks of the 2025 Asian Jujitsu Championship is an encouraging achievement for the Vietnamese jujitsu team, which is currently assessing its strength with the goal of competing at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand – a very strong opponent.

On May 26th, the 2025 Asian Jujitsu Championships continued with competitions and demonstrations in the U21 category. The Vietnamese jujitsu team promises to win more gold medals with young talents who have already become key players.
