As a mountainous province still facing many difficulties, the demand for jobs among workers in the province is high. In response to this reality, the Provincial Center for the Care of War Veterans and Employment Services coordinates the organization of job counseling and awareness conferences in communes and wards; organizes job fairs and job placement sessions, both in person and online, creating opportunities for workers to access recruitment information from domestic and foreign businesses. For workers wishing to work abroad under contract, the Center provides full guidance on procedures and documentation, assists in accessing preferential loan sources, and coordinates recruitment, training, and document completion before departure. This helps many workers increase their income and accumulate capital to develop their family's economy .

Youth union members and young people receive advice and job referrals directly from businesses.

Since the beginning of the year, the Center has provided counseling, information dissemination, and job placement services to 10,365 workers. 616 workers have been placed in contract jobs (350 working domestically and 266 working abroad). The main labor receiving markets include South Korea, Taiwan (China), Japan, and Algeria, with an average income of approximately 38 million VND per month.

Comrade Nguyen Hoai An - Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Rehabilitation and Employment Services, said: “We always consider job counseling and placement as one of the important tasks to contribute to improving the lives of the people. The Center focuses on bringing labor market information to villages and communes, especially in remote and disadvantaged areas. At the same time, we strengthen connections with businesses and expand the domestic and international labor markets to create more job opportunities for workers in the province.”

Thanks to job placement programs implemented recently, many workers in the province have found stable jobs with high incomes, gradually improving their family's living standards. A typical example is Ms. Lu Te Mu from Bum To commune. After receiving information and advice about the seasonal labor program in South Korea, she boldly registered to participate. With the support of relevant agencies in completing the necessary documents and procedures, she had the opportunity to work in South Korea. During her time there, she undertook tasks such as planting onions and cabbage, and processing seafood, earning approximately 45 million VND per month, significantly higher than her local income. Ms. Mu shared: “Thanks to the local authorities' support in completing the paperwork and procedures, I had the opportunity to work in South Korea. The stable income helps my family develop economically. In the future, I will continue to participate in the labor program in South Korea.”

Currently, many other workers in the province, after receiving advice and job referrals, have had the opportunity to access professional working environments in domestic businesses and through overseas employment programs. This has created a stable source of income, improved their quality of life, and allowed them to accumulate significant savings for their families.

Creating job opportunities, increasing income, and providing career counseling and placement services have also contributed to changing people's perceptions, especially young workers in rural areas and ethnic minority regions. Through grassroots propaganda, many people have gained a better understanding of government support policies, their rights and obligations when participating in the labor market. Many families have confidently guided their children to participate in vocational training, seek employment at businesses, or register for overseas labor programs. Successful job placements have enabled workers in mountainous areas to improve their economic situation and stabilize their lives. This contributes to the effective utilization of local human resources, creating momentum for socio-economic development and achieving sustainable poverty reduction goals in the province.

Building on the achievements, in the coming period, the Provincial Center for Rehabilitation and Employment Services will continue to promote the dissemination of information, counseling, and job placement services to the people; expand cooperation with domestic and foreign businesses and organizations; improve the quality of job fairs and strengthen support for workers to access suitable job opportunities. At the same time, it will focus on bringing labor market information to remote areas, helping people fully access support policies on employment, vocational training, and loans. It will also strengthen training and skill development for workers to better meet the recruitment needs of businesses and the increasingly high demands of the labor market.
