Connecting labor supply and demand

Actively embracing digital transformation; linking companies and businesses; organizing mobile job fairs;... these are some of the approaches taken by the Long An Employment Service Center in connecting labor supply and demand, contributing to the formation of a flexible, modern, sustainable, and integrated labor market.

Innovate the methods of consulting and recruitment.

In response to the rapid development of the 4.0 technological revolution, the Long An Employment Service Center is accelerating digital transformation in connecting labor supply and demand. Accordingly, the Center regularly posts job recruitment information and labor market updates on social media platforms and assigns staff to promptly answer workers' questions related to all areas: unemployment insurance, vocational training, job searching, etc. As a result, in the first quarter of 2025, more than 5,000 workers registered for job searching through the Center.

Ms. Tran Thi Mong Dao (My Yen commune, Ben Luc district) shared: “Previously, I worked as a seamstress for a company specializing in shoe production. Due to family commitments, I quit more than a year ago and am currently looking for a new job. After accessing the labor market bulletin from the Center, I learned that several companies are hiring sewing workers, so I applied. After the interview, I was hired.”

Linking with regional employment service centers is how the Long An Employment Service Center diversifies its labor market, giving workers more choices. Specifically, the Long An Employment Service Center, the Can Tho City Employment Service Center, and the Binh Duong Employment Service Center have successfully developed the vieclamphianam application on Android and iOS operating systems, becoming a "bridge" between businesses and workers in the Southern region. In addition, the Center continues to collaborate with provinces in the Mekong Delta region to organize online job fairs, connecting online supply and demand between workers in those provinces and businesses in Long An province that are recruiting.

Improve quality

Instead of holding fixed job fairs at one location, the Long An Employment Service Center has recently been flexibly organizing job fairs in localities with many industrial zones and clusters, significantly increasing the number of job fairs. It is projected that in 2025, the Center will organize 10-12 job fairs, with 10-15 businesses registering to participate, attracting more than 200 workers, students, and graduates.

Implementing the Long An Province's Project on Sending Workers Abroad under Contract, giai đoạn 2020-2025, the Center also collaborates with 13 companies and businesses to advise and recruit workers, focusing on the markets of Japan, the Federal Republic of Germany, and South Korea, with diverse occupations such as garment manufacturing, food processing, packaging technology, nursing, metal cutting, restaurants, chefs, etc.

In particular, the Center also facilitates direct interviews in Long An for Japanese companies seeking to recruit workers. This helps connect businesses and workers; at the same time, it provides the Center with more practical experience in vocational training and job placement.

Mr. Sadamoto Naohiro, representing our Japanese partner, stated: “My company specializes in manufacturing precision mechanical products. In our recent recruitment drive, we are looking to hire three skilled welders and metal cutters. During the practical test, candidates need to pay close attention to occupational safety and hygiene, and not be negligent or careless throughout the work process. We plan to recruit more workers in Long An in the near future.”

Based on the review, the projected recruitment needs in the province for the second quarter of 2025 are over 6,300 jobs, categorized by industry and occupation: Mechanical engineering - technology, accounting for 6.97%; processing - manufacturing, accounting for 9.32%; economics - office work, accounting for 7.8%; and general labor in various sectors, accounting for 75.91%.

According to Tran Van Tieng, Director of the Long An Employment Service Center: “Following the province's viewpoint that 'the difficulties of businesses are also the difficulties of the province,' the Employment Service Center continues to strive to connect labor supply and demand, meeting the human resource needs for production and business activities in the province. The Center is promoting digital transformation, improving the quality of vocational training; regularly updating and reviewing the labor market;...”/.
