CAHN CLUB ACHIEVES "INCREDIBLE" PERFORMANCE
One of the most outstanding aspects of Hanoi Police FC (CAHN) is the diversity and effectiveness of its attack. With a total of 41 goals in 18 matches, the police team boasts the best scoring efficiency in the league (2.28 goals/match), far surpassing The Cong Viettel (27 goals, 1.5 goals/match). This difference stems from the fact that CAHN does not rely on any single individual. Although Alan is leading the V-League top scorer list with 14 goals, and Leo Artur has also contributed 8 goals, the real strength lies in the ability of the entire team to share the workload. A number of other players such as Rogerio Alves, Dinh Bac, Quang Hai, and Stefan Mauk have all scored 3 goals.

This creates a versatile attacking system, where any player can pose a threat to the opposing defense. Opponents cannot "neutralize" a star player to weaken CAHN FC, because coach Alexandre Polking always has other options ready to shine.
Meanwhile, Viettel Sports FC relies heavily on Lucao, the team's top scorer with 9 goals. The second-highest scorer, Pedro, only has 5 goals, highlighting a lack of consistency in their goal-scoring ability. Besides Lucao, Viettel Sports FC lacks another truly sharp striker to share the attacking burden. While Hanoi FC has four players who have scored 3 goals each, Viettel Sports FC only has one: Khuất Văn Khang.
The lack of depth in the attacking line makes it difficult for The Cong Viettel in matches where Lucao is tightly marked or not in top form. This is a fatal weakness in a long-distance race that demands stability and high versatility.
CAHN CLUB ADVANTAGES
Looking at the number of goals conceded, it's clear there isn't much difference between the two teams. Both CAHN and The Cong Viettel have only conceded 15 goals after 18 matches. This statistic shows that both teams are doing well defensively. This means the deciding factor will be their attacking effectiveness. And in this aspect, CAHN is clearly superior.
CAHN's goal difference is +26, while The Cong Viettel only has +12. That's a huge gap. CAHN not only knows how to win, but wins convincingly. They have the ability to "finish off" opponents when they have the chance, instead of just securing minimal victories and always being in a state of anxiety, having to fight hard until the end of the match to secure 3 points. Thanks to this, CAHN can rotate their squad, conserve energy, create an advantage in the long race, and gain more confidence in crucial matches. Meanwhile, in a more "tense" state, The Cong Viettel is more prone to dropping points.
Based on their performance so far, CAHN FC is not only leading the league table but also demonstrating a solid foundation to maintain this position until the end of the season. Their superior attack, coupled with the diversity of their scoring methods, is the "golden key" that has helped them create a significant gap between themselves and the rest of the teams.
Viettel FC remains a formidable opponent, especially with their disciplined defense and tight playing style. However, if they don't improve their attacking performance and reduce their reliance on a few individuals, they will face significant difficulties in catching up with CAHN FC. The championship race is not over yet, but at the moment, the balance is clearly tilted towards CAHN FC, a team possessing the weapon every champion needs: a strong enough attack to decide the fate of the match.
Coach P OPOV receives a heavy penalty.
On the morning of April 14th, the Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation issued a disciplinary decision against coach Velizar Popov. The Bulgarian coach reacted aggressively and excessively to the refereeing team during the match between The Cong Viettel and Thanh Hoa FC at Hang Day Stadium, Round 18 of the V-League 2025-2026 on April 10th. Coach Popov was suspended from duty for the next four matches and fined 20 million VND. If this behavior is repeated, he will face a harsher penalty.
