HNN.VN - On the morning of June 4th, Nguyen Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Quang commune, said that the local authorities are actively directing functional forces to urgently khắc phục the consequences caused by the tornado in the area.

The leaders of Long Quang commune visited and provided timely rice support to households whose houses had their roofs blown off.

Earlier, on the afternoon of June 3rd, heavy rain accompanied by a strong tornado struck A Chieu village (Long Quang commune). The natural disaster caused serious damage to houses, destroyed large areas of crops and trees, and damaged the power grid and streetlights.

According to initial statistics, 4 houses had 30% to 50% of their roofs blown off; the green spaces and gardens were severely damaged, significantly affecting the lives, activities, and production of the people.

Regarding the power system, Nam Dong Power Company quickly dispatched personnel and equipment to the scene and resolved the power outage within the night.

This is the second consecutive tornado to hit the commune in a short period of time. Previously, on the afternoon of May 15th, a similar tornado in Rung Ghenh village ripped off the roofs of four houses and knocked down many trees.
