Cat Ba tourism opening in 2025

(PLVN) - On the afternoon of March 30, in Cat Ba town, Cat Hai district, Hai Phong city, the opening ceremony of Cat Ba tourism in 2025 and the Cat Ba Amatina - Heritage Road Marathon (stride on the heritage land) took place.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Cat Hai District People's Committee Phan Viet Dien introduced Cat Ba Archipelago with many unique values ​​in terms of biodiversity, geomorphology, geology, landscape and pristine, attractive beauty. Cat Ba has famous landscapes recognized by international organizations and the Government, awarded with noble titles, typically: World Biosphere Reserve in 2004, National Special Scenic Monument in 2013, Lan Ha Bay became a member of the World's Most Beautiful Bays Club in 2020. Notably, on September 16, 2023, Cat Ba Archipelago along with Ha Long Bay was recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage.

The Cat Ba Tourism Opening Program 2025 aims to introduce and promote the potential, outstanding and unique strengths of Cat Ba archipelago - a World Natural Heritage, to a large number of people, domestic and international tourists, contributing to stimulating demand and developing Cat Ba tourism to a new level.

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, the Cat Ba Amatina Marathon 2025 - Heritage Road took place.

Opening Cat Ba tourism in 2025, Cat Hai district organized many events attracting the attention and participation of many local people, domestic and international tourists: Men's mini football tournament; Workers, Farmers and Soldiers' song - dance - music performance; Men's volleyball tournament; Cat Ba trade - tourism - seafood exhibition fair...

More than 1,500 athletes participated in the race.

The highlight of the opening of Cat Ba tourism 2025 is the Cat Ba Amatina Marathon 2025 - Heritage Road. Right after the opening ceremony, more than 1,500 athletes walked on the unique cross-island running route. With 3 distances: 21km, 10km, 5km, athletes experienced crossing poetic coastal roads, through lush green primeval forests and reaching the most eye-catching views of the green island of Cat Ba, especially the sunset on Lan Ha Bay.
