Opening Ceremony of the Spring Press Festival 2024 (Year of the Dragon)

On the afternoon of February 1st, at the Khanh Hoa Provincial Library (8 Tran Hung Dao Street, Nha Trang City), the Provincial Journalists Association, in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports, held the opening ceremony of the Spring Press Festival 2024. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Huu Tho - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Trang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Ms. Thai Thi Le Hang - Editor-in-Chief of Khanh Hoa Newspaper; along with leaders from various departments, agencies, press organizations, and resident reporters in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the provincial press agencies, reporters, journalists, members of the Journalists Association; and the representative offices of central and Ho Chi Minh City press agencies in Khanh Hoa. In 2024, press agencies and resident reporters in the province will actively promote the province's cultural events and activities; bring the Party's policies and the State's laws to the people; and better disseminate information on economic, political , cultural, social, security, and defense events in the province. In addition, press agencies will continuously innovate and improve the quality of both the content and format of their publications; producing more high-quality journalistic works, contributing to spreading positive values and fostering trust and consensus in society.

Delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon 2024.

This year's Spring Press Festival attracted the participation of over 250 newspapers with more than 4,000 publications, including newspapers and magazines from within and outside the province. These publications are creatively produced with vivid presentations, attractive formats, and rich, engaging content for readers. Through these newspapers, magazines, and special Spring editions, readers gain a comprehensive overview of the prominent political, economic, cultural, social, security, and defense events of 2023 in the country in general and Khanh Hoa province in particular. The organizing committee also displayed a collection of propaganda materials on: the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; resolutions and action programs on building and developing Khanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045; the resolution on piloting some specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province; and the resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress. Propaganda materials on the theme of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, specifically the 2024 theme on "Building a team of pioneering, exemplary cadres and Party members in Khanh Hoa province with pure revolutionary ethics, firm political acumen, sufficient qualities, capabilities, and prestige to meet the requirements of the tasks"; propaganda materials on the sovereignty of the homeland's seas and islands...

According to the plan, the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon 2024 will conclude on February 19th (the 10th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon). This year, the Organizing Committee of the Spring Press Festival will continue to select a number of outstanding journalistic works with content about Khanh Hoa province to award prizes. In addition, the Organizing Committee will also send complimentary publications to libraries, Cultural, Information and Sports Centers in localities throughout the province; especially, many publications will be sent to the military and people of Truong Sa district.
