Opening of the Spring Newspaper Festival of the Year of the Dragon 2024

On the afternoon of February 1, at Khanh Hoa Provincial Library (No. 8 Tran Hung Dao, Nha Trang City), the Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports to organize the opening ceremony of the Spring Newspaper Festival of Giap Thin 2024. Attending were Mr. Le Huu Tho - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Trang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Ms. Thai Thi Le Hang - Editor-in-Chief of Khanh Hoa Newspaper; and leaders of departments, branches, press agencies, and resident reporters in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the provincial press agencies, reporters, journalists, members of the Journalists Association; the Central and Ho Chi Minh City press representative agencies in Khanh Hoa. In 2024, press agencies and resident reporters in the province will be active in propagating events and cultural activities of the province; bringing the Party's policies and the State's laws to the masses; better performing the work of informing economic, political , cultural - social, security - defense events of the province. In addition, press agencies are constantly innovating, creating, improving the quality of both content and form of publications; having more high-quality press works, contributing to spreading good values, creating trust and consensus in society.

This year's Spring Press Festival attracted the participation of more than 250 newspapers with over 4,000 newspapers and magazines inside and outside the province. These are press publications that have been creatively invested in with vivid presentation, beautiful form, rich content, and appeal to readers. Through newspapers, magazines, and Spring special editions, readers have a more comprehensive view of the outstanding political, economic, cultural - social, security - defense events in 2023 of the country in general and Khanh Hoa province in particular. The organizing committee also displayed a cluster of propaganda documents on: Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; resolutions and action programs on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045; resolution on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province; resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress; Propaganda documents on the topic of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, thematic year 2024 on "Building a team of cadres and party members of Khanh Hoa province to be pioneers, exemplary, with pure revolutionary ethics, steadfast political will, and sufficient qualities, capacity and prestige to meet the requirements of the task"; propaganda documents on the sovereignty of the homeland's seas and islands...

According to the plan, the 2024 Giap Thin Spring Press Festival will end on February 19 (ie January 10, Giap Thin year). This year, the Organizing Committee of the Spring Press Festival continues to select a number of excellent press works with content about Khanh Hoa province to award. In addition, the Organizing Committee will also send press publications to libraries, Cultural, Information and Sports Centers in localities in the province; especially, many publications will be sent to the army and people of Truong Sa district.
