The event was organized by the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City from August 1-3, with many practical activities, contributing to promoting national digital transformation, developing e-commerce and strengthening regional connectivity on digital platforms.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Le Hoang Oanh, Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), affirmed that in the context of the whole country promoting comprehensive digital transformation, e-commerce is identified as a pioneering spearhead, connecting production - consumption - logistics and bringing Vietnamese products to the world. With its position as a regional center, Da Nang has very favorable conditions to take the lead in digital commerce.
However, to promote that advantage sustainably, Ms. Le Hoang Oanh suggested that the city should focus on perfecting policies and legal corridors to encourage e-commerce enterprises to develop transparently and sustainably; continue to prioritize training digital human resources, especially for small traders, business households, and small enterprises - those who are in dire need of support for transformation.
In addition, it is necessary to promote the application of digital technology in traditional markets, build a model of a "digital market" typical of Da Nang, as a model for other localities to learn from; expand inter-regional and inter-sectoral cooperation, create a network connecting OCOP products and local specialties on digital platforms, aiming for cross-border e-commerce.

Here, the units signed a commitment to participate in the program "Digital transformation of traditional market traders towards sustainable e-commerce development", opening a new direction for traditional markets in the digital age.
A special highlight of the event is the cashless payment market , gathering more than 80 OCOP booths, local specialties and digital transformation solutions from units such as TikTok shop, Shopee, Zalopay, Zalo OA, Haravan, Sapo... The digital experience space is flexibly arranged, helping people and small traders easily scan QR codes, shop online and receive advice on applying technology in sales.
Within the framework of the Week, livestream sessions promoting OCOP products also took place simultaneously on TikTok and Shopee platforms with the participation of many KOLs and content creators. The broadcast sessions introduced typical regional products from Da Nang, Hue, Thanh Hoa, Gia Lai, An Giang, Dien Bien... to spread Vietnamese brands to young consumers.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also launched 3 specialized training courses on digital transformation, livestream skills, and online sales for small traders and small businesses. These activities help participants gradually become familiar with and effectively exploit digital tools in business activities.
The Digital Trade and Regional Connectivity Week is not only a technology playground for businesses but also a testament to the effective coordination between the central and local governments in promoting digital economic development. With a systematic approach, the event promises to create momentum to spread the digital transformation model in the business community, small traders and individual business households across the country.
