Over the past years, Ngo Quyen High School (Tran Bien Ward, Dong Nai ) has upgraded equipment in classrooms with projectors, screens, speakers... to implement digital transformation. Teachers apply technology, conduct online lectures to improve the quality of lessons, helping students absorb knowledge in a more intuitive and vivid way.

According to Mr. Phan Cong Nghia - Principal of Ngo Quyen High School, to enhance digital transformation capacity to serve teaching and learning, the school has mobilized from many socialized sources, especially contributions from former students.

Mr. Nghia said that in the 2025-2026 school year, the alumni association of the 1992-1995 class supported the school with a large LED screen placed in the auditorium, worth about 150 million VND, to serve teaching, extracurricular activities, event organization and educational communication.

“The connection between alumni and the school has been a tradition of Ngo Quyen High School for many years. Technology products are received in a 'turnkey' form, the sponsoring unit organizes the design, installation and instruction on use. This is a great encouragement for us to promote digital transformation, improve the quality of teaching and learning,” Mr. Nghia shared.

From this foundation, Ngo Quyen High School promotes STEM education activities, helping students develop their creativity. The school cooperates with higher education institutions such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, Ton Duc Thang University... to organize a STEM festival with more than 100 creative products of students, within the framework of the innovation festival of Dong Nai province.

Similarly, Thanh An Primary School (Thanh An island commune, Ho Chi Minh City) has put into operation a digital classroom model to serve teaching in remote, isolated, and island areas. During digital lessons, technicians will connect the line from the studio to the classroom so that teachers can teach online.

The school is piloting digital classes for two subjects: Foreign Language and Information Technology due to the shortage of teachers in these two subjects. The digital class model is deployed to shorten the gap between island children and central localities of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to making up for disadvantages in learning conditions.

Mr. Le Huu Binh - Principal of Thanh An Primary School said that participating in digital classes helps students be more active in the learning process, increasing interaction with teachers. In each lesson, the homeroom teacher plays the role of teaching assistant, coordinating to guide students in operations and interacting with online teachers. "Although studying online, students are very excited and absorb lessons better," Mr. Binh commented.

The application of technology in digital transformation of education is taking place strongly in Ho Chi Minh City and many localities across the country. The Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Support and Consulting Center (DXCenter) plays a connecting and supporting role in bringing technology closer to schools. The unit has coordinated with partners to organize many seminars on "Digital transformation in STEM/STEAM education and training" in localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang , Dong Thap, Gia Lai...

The programs focus on introducing digital classroom models, digital libraries, applying virtual reality technology, smart boards, and iPads to teaching to innovate teaching methods and improve digital capacity for teachers and students. The series of seminars contributes to spreading digital education solutions to remote areas, promoting the development of comprehensive digital citizens.

In the direction of building global digital citizens, DXCenter cooperates with STEAMZone to bring the model of "digital classroom" and "digital library" to many localities. In 2024, the first digital classroom was donated to Thanh An Primary School with a value of 580 million VND.

Phu My Primary School No. 1 (Phu My Commune, Gia Lai) was handed over a digital classroom combined with a digital library with a total investment of nearly 700 million VND. The classroom is equipped with smart interactive boards, iPads, and online learning software to innovate teaching methods. In Dong Thap, Binh Thanh Primary School inaugurated a digital classroom and digital library in early 2025 with a total investment of 819 million VND. In addition to supporting equipment, the project also transfers operational skills, helping local teachers and students access and master new technology.

In particular, in the 2024-2025 school year, DXCenter will deploy English classes at 8 primary schools in Dien Bien, Lao Cai provinces and Con Dao special zone. In Lao Cai, San Chai Primary Boarding School No. 1 is connected online with teachers of Nguyen Thuong Hien Primary School (Hanh Thong ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The program helps overcome the shortage of teachers in English, Information Technology, Music, and Fine Arts in remote areas.

Mr. Phan Phuong Tung - Director of DXCenter said that through the programs, the unit hopes to not only provide equipment, but also transfer digital knowledge and practical skills, demonstrating the commitment to "leaving no one behind". These activities affirm the humanistic value and practical impact of the digital classroom model on local education.

According to Ms. Lam Hong Lam Thuy - Head of the General Education Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, digital transformation activities in schools with the digital classroom model will be promoted by Ho Chi Minh City in all wards and communes, at the same time building smart schools, expanding digital classrooms in many different subjects. The digital classroom model will take advantage of a team of good teachers to share teaching with primary schools in remote areas.

Ms. Thuy believes that digital transformation in education helps teachers and students change their thinking dramatically, promoting the application of technology in teaching. The digital classroom model not only solves the problem of teacher shortage in Ho Chi Minh City, but also brings technology to remote schools, changes teachers' views on applying technology in teaching, and at the same time shares a team of good teachers to schools with many difficulties, contributing to improving the quality of education.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, in 2025, the city's education sector strives to build 50 digital schools that meet the criteria and recognition standards issued by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, in line with the global digital transformation trend.
