Why did Dan Tri newspaper organize a workshop on implementing ESG using science and technology?

(Dan Tri) - The workshop on implementing ESG using science and technology organized by Dan Tri Newspaper aims to clarify the role, impact as well as practical experiences in applying technology in the ESG implementation process.

The workshop "Implementing ESG with science and technology - From data to action" was organized by Dan Tri newspaper at 1:30 p.m. on November 26, at Pullman Hotel ( Hanoi ). The workshop is part of the series of events of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025 with the theme "Science and technology and driving force for sustainable development".

In the context of the world entering a period of strong digital transformation, the application of science and technology and data management is not only a trend but also a key factor to help businesses develop sustainably.

In Vietnam, when the entire economy is being encouraged to implement digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution 57 on science and technology development and Resolution 68 on promoting the private economy, the question is how can businesses integrate technology into ESG (Environment - Society - Governance) implementation effectively, in accordance with their operational characteristics and internal capacity?

Based on that reality, Dan Tri newspaper organized the workshop "Implementing ESG with science and technology - From data to action", aiming to create a forum connecting experts, managers, financial institutions and the business community.

The event aims to clarify the role and impact of science, technology and data management in ESG implementation. At the same time, at the workshop, pioneering enterprises will share experiences, tools and successful implementation models in practice.

The speaker will also focus on analyzing opportunities that businesses can take advantage of when implementing good data management and applying technology in operations, especially incentives for businesses developing in a green and digital direction.

In addition, the parties discussed to answer practical questions such as where should businesses start, the most important factors are people, finance or technology, and what is the appropriate roadmap for each industry group.

The Vietnam ESG Forum was initiated by Dan Tri newspaper in 2024 and is held annually. The highlight of the Forum is the series of events, Vietnam ESG Awards.

In 2025, the ESG Vietnam Forum will take the theme "Science and technology and the driving force for sustainable development" in line with the spirit of a series of important resolutions. This year's theme is considered to be consistent with the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo, which is to take science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the driving force for development.

After the launching ceremony of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025, many large-scale workshops such as the workshop "Digital transformation solutions and ESG practices - Key to global economic integration" on June 24; the workshop "ESG implementation with AI: What should businesses do?" on August 14 and the discussion "Digital transformation in governance - ESG implementation experience from financial sector businesses" on September 30 were successfully organized. The events attracted a large number of delegates and had many interesting contents.

Last year, the Vietnam ESG Forum with the theme "Sustainable development strategy in the new era" included a series of events and activities, including the Vietnam ESG Awards 2024, which took place successfully, receiving support from the expert and business community.

The 31 units honored at the Vietnam ESG Awards 2024 are all large enterprises with certain marks and results in ESG implementation. After 2 rounds of impartial evaluation by members of the Vietnam ESG Awards 2024 Judging Council, the units honored by the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam ESG Forum were all considered worthy.
