In October 2025, Vietnam will have a trade surplus of 2.6 billion USD.

(PLVN) - Today (November 11), the Customs Department informed about the unit's work situation in October. Notably, the trade balance of goods in October 2025 (export - import) had a trade surplus of 2.6 billion USD.

Accordingly, goods exports in October 2025 reached 42.05 billion USD (down 1.5%, equivalent to a decrease of 621 million USD). Goods imports in October 2025 reached 39.44 billion USD (down 1%, equivalent to a decrease of 379 million USD). Total goods imports and exports in October 2025 reached 81.49 billion USD (down 1.2%, equivalent to a decrease of 1 billion USD compared to the previous month). The trade balance of goods in October 2025 (export-import) had a trade surplus of 2.6 billion USD.

Accumulated import and export in the first 10 months of 2025, goods export in the first 10 months of 2025 reached nearly 391 billion USD (up 16.2%, equivalent to an increase of 54.56 billion USD). Goods import in the first 10 months of 2025 reached 371.44 billion USD (up 18.6%, equivalent to an increase of nearly 58.18 billion USD). Total goods import and export in the first 10 months of 2025 reached 762.44 billion USD (up 17.4%, equivalent to an increase of 112.74 billion USD over the same period last year). The trade balance of goods in the first 10 months of 2025 (export-import) had a trade surplus of 19.56 billion USD.

Regarding the results of arrests and handling of violations in the fight against smuggling and trade fraud, from September 15 to October 14, 2025, the Customs authority detected, arrested and handled 1,793 cases (an increase of 18 cases, equivalent to 1.01% over the same period last year); the value of infringing goods is estimated at VND 1,856 billion. The state budget revenue is approximately VND 46.1 billion. The Customs authority prosecuted 01 case (a decrease of 02 cases, equivalent to 66.7% over the same period in 2024), and transferred 07 cases to other agencies for prosecution (a decrease of 06 cases, equivalent to 46.1% over the same period last year).  

Accumulated from December 15, 2024 to October 14, 2025, the Customs authority has detected, arrested and handled 15,121 cases, the value of infringing goods is estimated at VND 19,551 billion. State budget revenue reached: VND 710.33 billion. The Customs authority has prosecuted 16 cases and transferred 100 cases to other agencies for prosecution...

As a result of the fight against drugs, from September 15 to October 14, 2025, the Customs agency presided over and coordinated with the Police and Border Guard forces to detect and arrest: 13 cases/19 subjects, of which the Customs agency presided over 04 cases. The seized exhibits included: 24.94 kg of various drugs, specifically: 13.39 kg of heroin; 9.55 kg of ketamine; 2 kg of synthetic drugs.

Accumulated from December 15, 2024 to October 14, 2025, the Customs agency presided over and coordinated with the Police and Border Guard forces to detect and arrest: 165 cases/213 subjects, of which the Customs agency presided over 67 cases. The seized exhibits were approximately: 2,326 kg of various drugs, specifically: 402.49 grams of opium; 153 kg of cannabis; 67.3 kg of heroin; 1.86 kg of cocaine; 1,516 kg of ketamine; 365 kg and 1,903 synthetic drug pills; 223 kg and 60,000 other drug pills.
