The Keo Lom Market project was built with funding from the National Target Program for New Rural Development, giai đoạn 2021-2025, with a total investment of 3 billion VND. Construction began on October 27, 2022 and was completed on April 27, 2023. The market has a total area of 4,100 m² . Of this, the market hall area is 235 m² ; the stalls are arranged into different sections: displaying and selling OCOP products, agricultural products, handicrafts; food ; introducing traditional crafts and the culture of local ethnic groups; outdoor sales (livestock, poultry, plants, seedlings, etc. ); and commercial stalls for businesses and cooperatives. Keo Lom Market is conveniently located on National Highway 12, facilitating trade and the introduction of local products, as well as promoting the brand of goods from the district as a whole. At the opening ceremony , Keo Lom Market featured over 100 stalls to serve the trading needs of residents of Keo Lom commune and surrounding areas.
To celebrate the 78th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2023), the Keo Lom highland market will be held for two days (September 1-2) with many activities including buying and selling goods; cultural performances and traditional games of ethnic groups in Dien Bien Dong district.
The Keo Lôm market is held every Saturday.
