Comrade Le Quoc Minh delivered a speech at the event.

According to the comrade, the OCOP program has become a key policy, spreading widely and being implemented synchronously throughout the country. The program has helped many localities exploit the advantages associated with villages and communes to develop specialty products, local produce, and tourism services in each rural area of Vietnam, contributing to promoting cultural values and preserving and developing the traditional values of these localities. The results and achievements of the OCOP program after nearly three years of implementation also serve as the basis for the Prime Minister to continue approving the One Commune One Product program for the 2021-2025 period.

The overall objective of the OCOP Program for the 2021-2025 period is to develop OCOP products to unleash the potential and advantages of rural areas, thereby increasing people's income; contributing to the continued restructuring of the agricultural sector in conjunction with the development of small-scale industries, trades, services, and rural tourism; promoting sustainable rural economic development based on enhanced application of digital transformation and circular economy, preserving cultural values, managing resources, conserving biodiversity, landscapes, and the rural environment, contributing to building new rural areas in a more in-depth, effective, and sustainable manner.

The comrade affirmed: Having been a partner with this Program from its early days, Nhan Dan Newspaper has always focused on promoting it through all its publications, contributing to spreading the extremely humane values of the Program. Nhan Dan Newspaper has also produced many news articles and in-depth special features on OCOP with many outstanding journalistic products.

In recent years, Nhan Dan Newspaper has strived to implement its digital transformation strategy, combining information and data with technology and innovative ideas to create exceptional journalistic products with depth and wide reach.

"The creation and launch of a dedicated webpage on the OCOP Program is also part of Nhan Dan Newspaper's goal of steadfastly adhering to the direction, accompanying and spreading the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, closely following the realities of production and business life, and promptly reflecting and suggesting solutions for sustainable development," the comrade emphasized.

WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT THE OCOP SPECIAL SECTION OF THE NHAN DAN NEWSPAPER?

This allows readers to easily access and interact with products in the digital space, thereby better understanding the story, information, and visual images of the products. Through this, it contributes to spreading Vietnamese culture and products to the global market and increasing the value of Vietnamese products and brands.

With the cooperation of TikTok Vietnam, the OCOP section on Nhan Dan Newspaper hopes to be a bridge to further promote and sell products that meet OCOP standards.

CREATING EXPONENTIAL POWER BY JOINING HANDS TO DEVELOP OCOP PRODUCTS

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan highly appreciated the significance of launching the OCOP special section on Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Comrade Le Minh Hoan, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, highly appreciated the OCOP special section in Nhan Dan Newspaper.

According to the Minister, each OCOP product aims to "activate" the dynamism and "revive the vitality" of rural communities, thereby training a new generation of entrepreneurs – young people starting businesses with OCOP products.

Each OCOP product integrates multiple values, embodying pride in local cultural values – a distinguishing factor for OCOP products from different regions. “Nowadays, people don’t buy the product itself, but the way it’s created, including the mindset, culture, story, and emotions involved in the creation process,” Minister Le Minh Hoan stated.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development stated that while selling tangible products offers a price point for comparison, there is no price to compare when selling the pride of the people and the local cultural values subtly integrated into OCOP products.

Products need to be more refined to meet market demands,” Minister Le Minh Hoan emphasized.

The Minister affirmed: The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will continue to accompany Nhan Dan Newspaper on the journey to promote OCOP products in the future, thereby spreading the value of more and more OCOP products, "activating a whole community to revive, awaken pride, encourage the community to unite, create strength exponentially, and participate together in the development of OCOP products."

The comrade noted that in the past period, media agencies have made great efforts and actively promoted agriculture, farmers, and rural areas; however, not many units have implemented this into specific special pages, sections, and programs.

"The fact that Nhan Dan Newspaper, one of Vietnam's leading media outlets, has established the 'One Village, One Product' special section is extremely significant. This is also a great joy for journalists, readers, producers, and consumers alike," the comrade emphasized.

"The OCOP special page is a meaningful gift from Nhan Dan Newspaper in particular, and journalists in general, to producers and farmers on their journey of integration," said Comrade Tran Thanh Lam.

Specifically, he stated that with the launch of the OCOP (One Commune One Product) section of the Nhan Dan Newspaper, readers now have another useful resource to better understand the cultural values behind each product. Producers experience joy and pride in having their names featured in the section of Vietnam's most prestigious newspaper. For consumers, the section serves as a "trusted address" for exchanging information, conducting transactions, buying and selling, as well as promoting products.

The comrade expressed his wish that Nhan Dan Newspaper would continue to develop its OCOP special section to become a platform connecting three stakeholders: journalists, producers, and consumers, thereby multiplying their strengths. He also suggested that the newspaper research translation options to introduce the products more widely, thereby showcasing the image and culture of Vietnam to the world.

BRINGING OCOP PRODUCTS TO THE WORLD THROUGH TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, representative of TikTok Vietnam, said that the TikTok platform has been present in Vietnam for 4-5 years, but the e-commerce sector only started in 2022 and is developing very strongly every day. In particular, e-commerce content about OCOP products, which tells the story and pride of each locality and region, is very suitable for TikTok.

According to TikTok's statistics, previously, the platform had approximately 10 billion daily views but lacked OCOP (One Commune One Product) content. After collaborating to launch the OCOP content program, the platform now has nearly 13,000 videos about OCOP, and the hashtag #OCOP has garnered 1.2 billion views.

Through the Nhan Dan Newspaper's dedicated page, TikTok hopes to further develop and collaborate with the newspaper so that Vietnamese people can easily find and enjoy Vietnamese specialties.

"TikTok is honored to collaborate with Nhan Dan Newspaper on creating a professional special page connecting OCOP producers and buyers," Mr. Thanh said.
