On December 1-2, the Office of the Police Investigation Agency, Dak Lak Provincial Police in coordination with Hoan Hao General Clinic (Buon Ma Thuot Ward) organized a program to examine and provide free medicine for 1,000 people in Hoa Thinh Commune, one of the localities that suffered the most damage in the recent historic floods.
Hoa Thinh commune has suffered huge losses with 25 deaths, 4,820 houses completely flooded, more than 200 houses collapsed and damaged. Damage to agriculture and infrastructure is also very serious, estimated at more than 610 billion VND.

Faced with this difficult situation, the People's Committee of Hoa Thinh commune has proposed that all levels and sectors have policies to extend, freeze and cancel debts for households that have borrowed from banks, especially policy households, households with deceased members, poor and near-poor households. At the same time, it proposed to provide timely support for plant and animal varieties so that people can soon stabilize their economy .
The medical team participating in the program included 8 specialists and 2 pharmacists, led by Dr. Nguyen Dai Phong, former Director of the Central Highlands Regional Hospital. Dr. Phong said that through examinations, people mainly suffered from skin diseases, ear, nose, throat, eye diseases, diarrhea and psychological problems after natural disasters.

“In addition to dispensing medicine to some people, doctors also provide specialized treatment advice to patients with underlying diseases. Our medical team wants to contribute a small part to support people,” Dr. Phong shared.
A leader of Hoa Thinh commune emphasized that the recent floods have disrupted people's lives, many households have had to focus on overcoming the damage, and have little access to health care.

“This free medical examination and medicine program is very timely, helping people detect diseases early and reduce treatment costs,” said the leader.
In addition to medical examination and treatment activities, the working delegation of Dak Lak Provincial Police also visited, expressed condolences and presented a total of 25 million VND to families whose relatives died in the flood in Hoa Thinh commune, showing deep concern and sympathy for the losses of people in the flood-affected areas.
