Tourists explore the cajuput forest by boat at the Endless Field Tourist Area (Moc Hoa district)
Since early May, the temperature in Long An has ranged from 25-34 degrees Celsius. The weather has changed erratically , sometimes from hot sunshine to sudden rain, making outdoor play difficult. Instead of long trips, many families choose to take their children to entertainment areas in the province to both relax and ensure study time.
Van Lai Vien Amusement Park (Ben Luc District, Long An Province) is one of the destinations chosen by families, groups of friends, and groups of students for entertainment. With ticket prices ranging from 100,000-200,000 VND, the outdoor play area and swimming pool here all have shade and a roof so that children can both play and avoid the harsh sunlight.
According to the manager of Van Lai Vien amusement park - Tran Thi Ngoc Ngan, both adults and children love games such as slides, mountain climbing, cycling, balance beam,... to exercise, get away from the phone, relax the mind. When participating in the swimming pool area, everyone can comfortably play under the large canopy without fear of sun or rain.
Ms. Ngan added: “The games here are all designed to help players exercise and improve their physical fitness. In May, families with young children and groups of schools in the province or neighboring areas often come here on weekends.”
This summer also saw a trend of entertainment towards nature and sustainable tourism. Many groups of tourists and families chose the Endless Field Eco-tourism Area (Moc Hoa District) to experience “leaving the city for the forest” with activities associated with nature such as visiting the Melaleuca forest by boat, cycling around the edge of the forest, “forest bathing”, kayaking, etc.
Deputy Director of the Endless Field Eco-tourism Area - Duong Van Toan said: "Visitors come here not only to visit but also to find a sense of relaxation and to immerse themselves in nature. With a unique ecosystem, the temperature in the cajuput forest is always lower than outside, creating a pleasant feeling in the hot season. We have additional experiential activities such as herbal foot baths, rainwater pond bathing,... which are very suitable for the current "cooling off" needs of people".
For families with young children, the need to “cool off” also comes with criteria for safety and comfort. Mr. Nguyen Van Mai (Thuan My commune, Chau Thanh district) shared: “My children love playing with water, so I often take them to swimming pools and playgrounds with lakes on weekends. I prioritize choosing places with roofs and shade so that I can both play and rest, without worrying about getting tired from the sun.”
When choosing places to play during the hot season, parents should consider choosing destinations that ensure safety factors, are suitable for the age and physical condition of children. Playing and exercising not only helps children improve their health and relieve stress after school, but also creates opportunities to increase family affection./.
