Urgent action needed to resolve obstacles at Dien Nam Trung market.

DNO - On the afternoon of May 20th, in Dien Ban Dong ward, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung chaired a meeting with representatives of several small traders from Dien Nam Trung market to consider their requests regarding the management and operation of the market in the past period.

During the meeting, representatives of the small traders raised several issues related to the operation of Dien Nam Trung Market in the past; they requested that the local authorities include the traders in the negotiation and agreement process regarding rental prices and related costs to ensure transparency and harmony between the parties when continuing to implement the contract.

In addition, the traders requested that Dien Nam Trung Market be returned to the management of the Dien Ban Dong Ward People's Committee for easier management and operation.

Meanwhile, a representative from Nguyen Thinh Phat Company proposed that the management agency reconsider the classification of Dien Nam Trung Market (currently a Grade 3 market) by downgrading it to make it easier for the company to determine prices in the future.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung acknowledged the legitimate requests of citizens and businesses. He also requested that small traders promptly sign contracts with Nguyen Thinh Phat Company by December 31, 2026, to ensure the smooth operation of the market and related issues such as fire safety and waste collection.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested that the market management company and the small traders who have not yet signed contracts cooperate in a spirit of sharing and constructive dialogue to resolve existing issues and ensure a balance of interests for all parties.

Regarding the new contract (from 2027) between the company and traders at Dien Nam Trung Market, the leaders of the City People's Committee requested Nguyen Thinh Phat Company to urgently proceed with the valuation procedures and establish the contract price for traders to rent in accordance with the law.

The city has assigned the Department of Finance and the Department of Industry and Trade to guide and supervise the pricing of businesses in accordance with the Price Law, in order to develop appropriate new pricing plans and ensure stable market operation.
