(BLC) - On the morning of May 14, in Quang Nam , Naval Region 3 coordinated with Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, the Club "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" and the family to organize the inauguration and handover ceremony of the project to renovate and embellish the memorial house of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Phan Vinh on Tran Thu Do Street, Dien Nam Trung Ward, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province. Colonel Pham Dinh Thanh - Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 3 presided over the ceremony.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung - Former member of the Party Central Committee, former President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , Vice Chairman of the Club "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa"; delegates of local Party committees, authorities and representatives of organizations and individuals supporting and accompanying the restoration and embellishment of the project.

The Memorial House for Heroic Martyr Nguyen Phan Vinh was built by the Navy in 2003, with the scale of a level 4 house, up to now 21 years; due to the effects of time and stormy weather, the house has seriously degraded: the tiled roof was broken due to storms, the ceiling is rotten, the walls are water-permeable and peeling; the altars and display cabinets are now old and degraded; the lighting and drainage systems are broken...

To commemorate and express gratitude for the great contributions of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Phan Vinh associated with the legendary feat of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea of the Vietnam People's Navy as well as the wishes of the martyr's family, Naval Region 3 reported to the Service and called on organizations and individuals to join hands to support and help restore and embellish this place to become a "red address" for officers and soldiers (CBCS) and people, especially the young generation to visit, pay tribute and learn from the example of the Heroic Martyr.

The memorial house project has a total investment of nearly 500 million VND, including the following items: replacing all tiles, ceilings, waterproofing the porch; building a new screen; replacing photo frames and the Certificate of Merit from the Fatherland, medals and awards; tiling the exterior walls, the base of the walls inside the house and repainting the entire house and fence; renewing the damaged gate roof and rebuilding the fence; replacing and repainting rotten wooden doors... The project was carried out by the officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3 with a total of 338 working days.

Colonel Pham Dinh Thanh - Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 3 said: This is a project with profound political, social and humanistic significance, showing the sentiments, responsibilities and gratitude of the people, local authorities and officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3 for the great contributions of generations of fathers and brothers for the revolutionary cause of the nation; demonstrating the morality and fine tradition of "remembering the source of water when drinking", "remembering the person who planted the tree when eating the fruit". It is a place to educate revolutionary traditions; patriotism, arousing and strengthening the belief and national pride of cadres, party members and the masses, especially the young generation.
This is also a project to welcome the Victory Emulation Congress of Naval Region 3 for the period 2019-2024 and to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first Victory Day of the Vietnam People's Navy and the army and people of the North (August 2 and 5, 1964 - August 2 and 5, 2024).
On this occasion, the Naval Region 3 Command and organizations and individuals presented the family with many valuable gifts.
