Tam Son Commune:
In recent years, Tam Son has leveraged its natural landscapes, historical relics, and cultural identity to create attractive destinations. Binh Son Tower - a special national monument, Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery, Bo Lac Lake, Bay Waterfall, De Tham Cave... have become popular destinations for tourists, researchers, and those seeking unique experiences.
Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery is nestled beside Bo Lac Lake, a promising ecotourism destination.
At Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery, Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: “The monastery's atmosphere is peaceful, and the architecture harmonizes with nature. I feel a sense of tranquility and serenity, and I hope Tam Son will continue to invest so that this place becomes an even more attractive spiritual tourism destination.” Meanwhile, at Bay Waterfall, Mr. Pham Quang Long, a tourist from Quang Ninh, expressed: “The waterfall is majestic and pristine, the water is clear blue, and the air is cool and refreshing. This is truly an ideal place to experience and explore nature.”
Tourism has brought significant revenue to the locality. In the first seven months of 2025, Tam Son commune attracted more than 10,000 visitors. Accommodation facilities, restaurants, food services, transportation, and specialty shopping in the commune have expanded, attracting hundreds of local workers; many households have also developed homestay and farmstay models linked to experiential agriculture . This shows that, with the right direction and comprehensive investment, tourism becomes a channel for creating livelihoods and contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.
Mount Sang possesses a beauty of "unique mountains and picturesque waters".
Tourism also affirms its important role in preserving and promoting cultural heritage. Traditional festivals, craft villages, and OCOP products of Tam Son are widely introduced, creating a unique identity for the destination. At the same time, rural infrastructure is improved thanks to resources from tourism; the transportation, electricity, water, and communication systems are becoming increasingly complete.
However, Tam Son's tourism potential has not yet been fully exploited. Service infrastructure is still lacking in uniformity; there are not many distinctive products, and their quality is not high; and promotional efforts are not systematic. Some destinations are fragmented and lack connectivity to form a chain. This highlights the urgent need for new, more groundbreaking approaches to transform potential into a real competitive advantage.
Therefore, linking tourism development with digital transformation is a strategic direction. Digital transformation opens up the possibility of powerful promotion, bringing the image of Tam Son to domestic and international tourists quickly and effectively. Tourism products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) products can be introduced on digital platforms; smart tourism services help tourists easily search for information, book services, and experience digital amenities. This enhances the tourist experience and increases competitiveness on the regional and national tourism map.
In its development plan, Tam Son aims to become an advanced, modern new rural commune by 2030, with world-class tourism products. This includes building an eco-tourism and community-based tourism area associated with Bo Lac Lake; developing a spiritual and cultural tourism route encompassing Binh Son Tower, Bay Waterfall, and Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery; establishing a clean agricultural area combined with experiential activities; and creating a standard golf course to attract high-end tourists. All of these will be operated and promoted on digital platforms.
Mount Sang boasts magnificent scenery, attracting numerous tourists to explore and experience it.
To realize that aspiration, Tam Son needs to focus on several key solutions. First, improve the quality of its management staff and tourism and information technology specialists to meet the demands of the digital transformation era. Next, mobilize social resources, calling on businesses and investors to participate in infrastructure development and tourism product development. Alongside this, prioritize training in digital skills and community-based tourism skills for the local population.
More importantly, Tam Son needs a strategy to preserve and promote its cultural identity in conjunction with tourism development. Each festival, craft village, and traditional product must become a "must-see destination" on the digital map; every citizen must be a "cultural ambassador." Simultaneously, it is necessary to strengthen environmental protection, preserve the landscape, ensure security and order, and create a civilized and safe tourism environment.
Looking back over the years, it can be affirmed that tourism has made and continues to make a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Tam Son. Despite many difficulties, with a strategic vision linked to digital transformation, the commune has the foundation to turn its aspirations for breakthroughs into reality.
Secretary of the Tam Son Commune Party Committee, Le Dang Tam, affirmed: "Developing tourism in conjunction with digital transformation is the shortest path for Tam Son to create breakthroughs, simultaneously developing the economy, improving people's lives, and affirming local identity in the era of integration."
This aspiration is not only the determination of the Party committee and the government, but also the shared desire of the people. With its revolutionary tradition, spirit of solidarity, and proactive innovation, Tam Son will surely rise strongly, becoming a shining example of tourism development linked to digital transformation, contributing to the overall development of the province.
