That's what Mr. Doan Thien Minh ( Hue City) affirmed when he spoke with us about his personal grooming needs. Previously, Mr. Minh's personal care was limited to basic hygiene and neat, presentable hair. Later, after starting work and interacting with many clients, Mr. Minh invested more money in new hairstyles, finding suitable clothing styles, and taking care of his skin.

He shared: “I spend about an hour each evening on my skincare routine. After cleansing, I apply serum and then a face mask. It requires patience at first, but once it becomes a habit, I find it very relaxing to watch movies and listen to music while wearing a face mask.”

It took Minh a considerable amount of time and money to find the right fashion style and hair and skincare products for him. For him, looking good is a legitimate need, a way to show self-respect. “The positive changes in my appearance have boosted my confidence, which has led to smoother progress in my work. Even friends and family ask me about my skincare routine to keep my skin healthy,” he happily shared.

Sharing the same viewpoint as Mr. Minh, Mr. Nguyen Van Truyen, however, struggled with oily skin and acne. He said: “I used to be very self-conscious when I was a student. After doing some research, I learned that my skin was quite sensitive, which caused so much acne. To improve my skin's health, in addition to improving my diet and lifestyle, I also used suitable skincare products. Now, not only has my acne significantly reduced, saving me money on acne treatment, but my appearance has also become more mature.”

These range from sunscreens and skincare products like masks and moisturizers to clothing, fashion accessories, and perfumes. Furthermore, many men are exploring and utilizing various beauty services to enhance their appearance.

Ms. Tra My, the owner of a spa in Huong Thuy town, said: "Dark lips in men can be caused by frequent direct exposure to sunlight or by habits such as alcohol and tobacco use. Therefore, lip darkening removal is a very popular service at our spa. In addition, men, especially young men, pay close attention to their appearance, so eyebrow embroidery to brighten their faces is also a popular choice."

Regarding the cost of lip or eyebrow treatments, prices vary from one to several million VND depending on the spa and the service. As for cosmetic products, prices differ significantly depending on the brand. The price difference between inexpensive, mid-range, and high-end cosmetics can be millions, or even tens of millions of VND.

Beyond conventional grooming, men also have many options for invasive cosmetic procedures (cosmetic surgery). While this is a legitimate need, to achieve effective results, men must not only have the financial means but also invest considerable effort in research and learning. Only then can they achieve the desired outcome and avoid wasting money on ineffective or harmful cosmetic products and services.
